It could be that I just am put off by the character limit. I think worthwhile hockey takes are best fleshed out in a forum-like atmosphere, where ideas can be easily unraveled in long detail, and conversations (especially with several people) are much easier to follow. Hockey twitter just smells bad to me but this could be why

There are some posters that try to tell me the pile of meaningless and harmless trades is a harbinger of doom, who also tried to tell me that moves which sent 5-years-or-longer spans of hockey into a tailspin were not only insignificant, but were good things Some of y'all should recalibrate. These trades are disappointing, like almost all deadline trades when your team is selling. The meat and bones of what will dictate our path forward will happen this offseason. I want nothing more than for Asplund/Casey/Tage to cement their arrival in stone as this season winds down against some of the best teams. Skinner - Jack - Sam xxx - Cozens/xxx - Cozens/xxx Asplund - Mitts - Tage Girgensons - xxx - Okposo/xxx, depending on if Okposo can still play If that third line is legit and really getting better and better, the offseason gets so much easier. I would flush all of our 4th liners besides the two shown and find a legitimately good 4C for those two. Then I'd probably move on from Olofsson, and go all-out on finding the best two skaters I can to play with Cozens. I'm also open to moving any of the names in that lineup out (besides Cozens) depending on the return.
