  1. I haven't been playing super close attention, but this current thing he has sounds serious and very long term as far as this season goes.
  2. Life is good. I am blessed
  3. I don't think Hall is going to stay there, but I don't see why locking up their number 1 center and number 1 overall pick from just two years ago in a long term deal would signify anything to do with Hall
  4. Jokiharju is fun because he's this year's Pilut, but is capable of putting out the best game Pilut has ever had (home vs. Toronto) every night. And Pilut still exists in Rochester. Our depth is real and it feels good man
  5. Not sure, but I briefly recall (and could be completely wrong in my recollection) McCabe-Montour looking pretty good together last year?
  6. The effectiveness with which the bold is happening is decreasing steadily, unfortunately. I'm not married to this pairing at all
  7. The obvious answer WAS to send Joki down....until we heard that Botts told him to find a house in Buffalo. I'm hoping for a trade. But they could just sit somebody and have a legit player on the bench.
  8. I don't like what we did with our 2 goal leads against MTL and FLA. 3 goal leads are a bit different. When you incorporate the circumstances of last night's game, and how exhausted they were, I'm not really worried about that. Their most recent 2 goal 3rd period lead was against Dallas and they did well with it.
  9. True, but I don't care who we play. I just wanna get there. It wouldn't be NE in week 1 anyway so no matter what we'd have a chance
  10. I'm also a little worried because, if our best path is the wild card, our best interest is in one team running away with each division, and now KC is not going to do that. I don't want to give, say, the Chargers, two wins that would have been losses, and have both those teams wind up around 9-7/10-6 versus 7-9 and 13-3
  11. McDavid with a paltry 17 points in 7 games played
  12. I wonder if he blames himself again - he was sending them out every other shift in the 3rd in Anaheim, no doubt that contributed to how tired they were today. I bet he's willing to give them more time once they rest tomorrow.
  13. Alright, here's the plan. Let the Islanders play one more game and win, so they jump Toronto. Then kill the season right here, and get Toronto in here for round 1
  14. Alternatively, I'd be a wreck if I was a Kings fan. That was not a good team playing in black, and the Sabres and Kings both knew it Outrageous. I wish they coulda gotten 8 more
  15. I'd love to see the percentage of time each of these leads is lost in the third period. I'd put money on there being a MASSIVE drop between 2 and 3.
  16. In Quantum Mechanics II a couple semesters ago, I had safely padded my grades with a second midterm exam score that was well above the class average. I still did the homework and studied for the final, and thought I did pretty well, and somehow wound up getting a 32%. The score was so bad it was funny, and was harmless in the grand scheme of things, I still safely passed the class. That's what this game was. The Sabres have played enough good hockey this season that I don't care about the last two periods and can simply laugh at how goofy the numbers wound up looking. 6-1-1, two more points banked baby! We're now behind the vaunted 08-09 team's pace to start though ? Get some rest and BEAT THE SHARKS And put Skinner back with Jack because at this point I just miss my smiley friend Jeff pumping in goals from his pal
  17. Jokiharju with his first PP1 time and did some nice things.
  18. Give us the 5 on 3 you hosers
  19. Ooooh Vesey almost snuck in his first ever goal in a Sabre uniform, 3 years late
  20. The reason Casey is so good today is because right now is 1am on his biological clock, which is peak performance time for Gen Z fortnite players Yes. I don't know how it goes but in any score adjusted stat I'm pretty sure at least half of this game won't be counted haha
  21. I think Swamp and the rest of us are talking past each other. Swamp knows that if we were to get out-shot and out-possessed like this every game, we'd lose most of them. But he's right that it's a lot of fun watching us sit on this lead, and the Kings being incapable of doing anything about it, and Hutton going bananas. And he's also right that 95% of games will not look like this because 95% of games are not 3 goal leads on back to backs on a western road trip
  22. I think the Mitts line is still below 10 minutes TOI. The Kings can't score for *****, but I don't enjoy the 3rd period lead trend of shortening the bench, and we've already lost two 2 goal leads in the 3rd periods in this short season. If this continues in the months ahead, we will lose games because of it
  23. We look like the tank teams. I don't really care, because it's a 3 goal lead back to back western road trip. But we definitely look like the tank teams ?
