    Have you seen how fast McDavid is? And how fast he plays with possession? He is going to change an entire teams profile.

    Hodgson is an excellent player to have with the puck on his stick, or at least has been in the past. Except the Sabres rarely or never have the puck on their stick. Possession numbers bear this out. Hodgson isn't the guy to have on the ice to retrieve the puck either.. He might try like hell, but he's not good at it. I think he's trying. Trying like hell. He's just not there.

    Im thinking it might be the opposite. He competes hard, goes to the right places. He may not have the talent, a quarter second late to the play, is still late.

    They absolutely tanked for Mario, years ago. After last nights game Child protective Services has ruled that while raising your kid a Sabres fan, while not technically abusive, warrants further investigation.

    I had a very nice conversation with a lady whose kid's hard work at Pioneer high school is paying off in college. No time to boo at a hockey game when you have the chance to share in strangers vicarious successes. I'm proud of you, Julie. Hell, everyone in the section was proud of you. Call home, your mom misses you already, and don't stop texting.
