  1. So, in 2018 the supreme court opened up gambling on the net (made it legal) so I *bet* that number increases. Those gambling TV commercials that show a guy who looks stoned on dopamine are kind of a shocker
  2. LOL, I never bet, but I did see the over-under last night and thought 40 was way too high for this weather. I could of cashed in! And yes, only a matter of time before we find out something is being rigged.
  3. One play, win or lose!
  4. That was the only loss they had at home against 12 wins. I wasn't expecting them to win unless they scored more goals
  5. Playing against the highest scoring team in the league with the worst goaltender in the league and you expected what from them?
  6. I don't gamble personally, but it really has taken off of late. I guess most people just gamble what they can. but I wonder how big of a problem gambling addiction is in the country now?
  7. Zamboni driver time
  8. Risto or bad goaltending? Carter Hart not looking good and Martin Jones is a has been Be interesting to do a survey on all the bad teams and what role bad goaltending plays in them stinking. I'd imagine there was a very strong correlation
  9. Islanders on 11 game losing streak. Their number one goalie has been out.
  10. He wouldn't having to be trying so hard to get a goal. You have to take chances playing from behind Having them play with the lead instead of always from behind
  11. Dahlin’s play would improve remarkably if we had some type of decent goaltending. Right now he’s the guy we have to look to to get us back into games after bad goals. He has to hang onto puck longer, try and make perfect plays,, and in the NHL that gets you into trouble. I knew all along that the skaters and/or coach would get blamed for the losing, even though it’s the goaltending that is by far and away the reason. Put Dahlin and the rest of the defense in better situations and they will play better. But the goaltending is bad so let’s blame the skaters. Lol. This is such a cool team, but the fans, media and experts will say “Trade them all!”
  12. 2nd goal on the d. They both messed up
  13. I also have a theory—just a theory—that good goaltending producers more scoring as team is usually in a better situation in the game ( not being behind as often)
  14. Maybe, but he sure has a winning personality so that should temper many peoples reactions even if he lays an egg
  15. Sabres are 14th in goal scoring with 67 goals Canes are 12th with 69 scored Sabres are third worst team in goals allowed with 84 allowed Canes are second best team in goals allowed with 50 goals against http://www.nhl.com/stats/teams?reportType=season&seasonFrom=20212022&seasonTo=20212022&gameType=2&filter=gamesPlayed,gte,1&sort=goalsAgainst&page=0&pageSize=50
  16. TRACKING THE STORYLINES: Something's Got To Give: Things have not been going the Canes' way lately. The team is 1-4-1 in their last six after starting the season 15-3-1. The team's output and effort are there, however, the same puck luck that they were having through the first six weeks is not. The club has put 89 shots on net in their last two games, but has fell victim to 47 and 39-save performances. Power Play Breakthrough: After reaching an unfortunate 0-for-20 mark on the man advantage, the team finally was able to get one in Thursday's third period courtesy of Teuvo Teravainen. Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour has cited the team's group as "being too cute" at times, so we'll see if this evening they can start a streak or if their difficult stretch continues. Return of the Bear?: Defenseman Ethan Bear rejoined the team at Thursday's morning skate after testing positive for COVID-19 back on Monday, November 22. He did not play in that evening's game against Ottawa but said he felt good to go Friday morning, after he practiced with the club. Jalen Chatfield and Max Lajoie have "done a great job" in the words of their head coach, however, if Bear can go, one would have to think that he would be in the lineup. History Repeats Itself: The Canes are 10-0-0 in their last ten meetings with Buffalo, marking the third-longest active win streak for a team against any opponent in the league.
  17. TT comes in and gives him a hug at the end.
  18. If they get a decent NHL goalie tandem, then next year. This team has talent, can score goals and more help is on the way
  19. Gave up? No, just got out played
  20. Exciting game. This team has a lot of talent. No disappointment tonight. We can score
