They will score a lot of goals, it looks like. After that they look like an AHL team. Our two top lines should be close to theirs, I'd give Ottawa an advantage but not a huge one. But our third and fourth lines I think are much better than theirs. Our defence looks better on paper than theirs, also. The goal tending will probably be a wash, unless there is a hot goalie. I like our chances against them in the game and the season

I think they will be better in every aspect of the game from last year. Depth at forward looks really good, so a few injuries there should not slow us down. On defence the drop off from the top four is pretty steep and a couple of injuries on the blue line could really turn them back into a not so good team. If they don't get hammered with key injuries, I think they are a pretty good team that gets better as the year goes on. They will score goals, the PP should be good and the defence seems like a solid work in progress. Playoffs: Yes! (I hope)

Totally agree on Cozens Casey situation. If they both do really well, so will the Sabres On D my biggest concern is depth. A few injuries and we could be sunk, imo.

The Pens announcers were talking about how the Pens need to cut salary to be under the cap and that they have a lot of defencemen. I wonder if other teams are in same sort of situation and we see Sabres grab a player or two off waivers or via trade to shore up the depth on defence.

This is where I am. He has looked good at times in pre-season, speed, gets to a lot of pucks and then passes puck in skates, or traffic. I can see him go way or or just spinning in the sand. Really hope he has a good year
