Power forwards take a while to develop. That was a good start for Marcus last night. Just needs to keep battling. -

I was screaming for Girgensons ever since I saw Hodgson out there shooting. It never once occurred to me to send out Samson. Girgensons is quite clearly most of the offense on this team. -
Liger, most of our prospects will indeed spend a year in the AHL. None of the prospects you mentioned are being rushed. Tank simply stated that you take it player by player. All prospects are made differently. Some of them can make the jump, but most require seasoning.

good post

Why are people still wondering how this team is going to turn it around and become a contender in a few years? Some of these many talented kids are going to do it when they're men. With the help of Jack Eichel.

Tim's plan seems to be progessing without a hitch. You mean when will Nolan scream at him that he's sick of losing? I'd imagine that Tim would tell him that he knew what he was getting into when he interviewed for the job, and give him the freedom to look for another nhl coaching gig if he so desires. -

That seems likely at this point. If you can't sit 10 guys, were the other nine all on offense? Otherwise those comments make no sense. -

I thought it would take me longer to hate Nolan's moves. Mitchell - Girgensons - Gionta? Still no Nikita? Why is he even on the roster? -
Ennis - Reinhart - Zemgus I'd like to watch that line. But unfortunately those are currently our top 3 centers. I guess I'll just have to wait until next year when we have Jack and Mikhail to center the other lines.
-
Reinhart is not skating at an NHL level yet. He isn't using his feet to insert himself into plays and battle for the puck. He's got good passing instincts and positioning, but that's all the good I can say about his game. Tyler Ennis had a fantastic game. More of that please. Weber also put in another nice effort. Zemgus was alright, but it was a quiet game by his standards. Cody Hodgson finally seems to be waking up a little bit. His skating stood out to me today. Gionta, Meszaros, and Benoit are not good. The C on Gionta's sweater is starting to look like a joke. Gorges looks like a solid 3-4 option for this squad. I really hope we see Nikita on the ice tomorrow.
-
If Foligno was an all-heart blood and guts player then nobody would doubt his place on this team. His lack of consistency/effort disqualifies him from that label in my eyes.
-
If Zemgus was every top 9 player on the team, then we would have fantastic team defense.

I'd give Hodgson another couple of games. If he keeps being useless, then give him a game or two watching all of our matt ellises take his ice time.
-
It's not hard to imagine that Revis was giving him more than he bargained for, but on TV it's impossible to tell.
-
On the first Jerry Hughes PF, he got called for standing over an opponent and taunting, when he was actually helping the Bills player off of him and celebrating with that bills player. On the second Jerry Hughes PF, he got called for hitting brady. He was off balance and got led into the collision by the O-lineman he was battling with. I don't think I can blame Jerry for either of those.
-
Because we had Peyton Manning under contract and negotiated with him for over a year? Oh wait that has nothing to do with my point at all.
-
So having Byrd on the field today wouldn't have helped?
-
Because if the Bills had signed him he would've gotten injured in a Saints practice? Our defensive backfield was bad today. We let one of the best safeties in the league walk for nothing. This was the fist game it really hurt not to have him. I'm gonna bitch about it.
-
Or y'know, lock up Byrd with a long term contract.
-
He had all day to turn around and make a play there. Outcoached by Beli again, whattaya know. <Insert weekly reffing rant here> Seriously I gotta stop watching football.
-
Let's do it, people.
-
I hope to the gods that you're still thinking this at ~3:55 PM tomorrow.
