  1. I was hoping for a better series between Boston & Pitt - at least Pitt showed up in Game 3, but got nothing to show for it, except a post by Malkin. The Bruins are good, but it's killing me that they're getting the lucky bounces and questionable calls/non-calls in their favor. Yeah, they kill off the penalties, but c'mon...I'm tired of Boston teams.
  2. This is on the outside of my left wrist (side opposite the thumb). The two tendons are definitely inflamed and apparently they're putting pressure on the nerve, which causes the weakness I've been having. No pain with all of this - just swelling and weakness. Doesn't help my golf game...
  3. Quite true. It all depends on who's winning. It's the same way with every announcer, but McGuire is about 10 times worse than the average. I'll give him that much. He really had no choice but to stay on the ice (penalty kill), but at least he kept working and didn't fall like a sack of wet noodles and start crying.
  4. Someone please stop Pierre McGuire's man crushes on Chara, Lucic, & Marchand....please.
  5. As if my schedule wasn't jam-packed enough...I have tendonitis in my wrist, which has become more irritating (not painful, just aching) over the past few weeks. Finally went to PT yesterday and I have to see her twice a week for the next month. I decided to do the early appointments before work so that I don't mess up anything I have going on in the evenings. Typing on this keyboard sure doesn't help it. The work projects are now ramping up even more, with more out-of-town trips coming up. Yay.
  6. He's a punk and gets away with WAY too much.
  7. Holy cow, how did I miss that? I remember 2006 specifically because of that playoff run. I remember that they lost Game 5 on Memorial Day weekend, but didn't think that Game 7 ended in June.
  8. But can I drink my Sam Adams Summer Ale during this series? June 19-20, 1999 Oh, wait....
  9. My condolences to you, NS. As you said, replace the pain with the good memories. For the umpteenth time, I strained the trapezius muscle in my back. Every time I do this, I'm moving my arms to my head (like washing my hair or using a towel to dry my hair). My chiropractor says it's because of a cervical spine issue that he's been slowly treating with decompression...i.e., mild traction. But damn if it isn't painful - I can't turn my head to the left w/o pain & tightness. It usually goes away after 36 hours with heat patches and ibuprofen.
  10. No...I want Boston out as soon as humanly possible. They shouldn't have made it this far, anyway.
  11. Talk about picking the lesser of two evils...I've made it very clear that I can't stand the Bruins, but I'm tired of the Crosby & Malkin ball washing. I guess I'll be rooting for the Penguins...oy.
  12. Turns out it didn't matter...the Kings are good. I've been pulling for San Jose, but I'm thinking we'll see a Detroit-LA Western final. Not what I wanted or expected.
  13. I'll commit the cardinal sin of posting to this thread on a Friday... It's May, right? I didn't slip into a coma and wake up in November, did I? It's 8:00am and the temp has already dropped 10 degrees since I woke up. WTF?!??!?!!??!??!
  14. Didn't every single Rangers fan on the planet basically give themselves the cup when he signed?
  15. I really do have to vent (c'mon...all of you knew I'd eventually say something!). Because I'm in networking and telecommunications, a lot of my work relies on Verizon's ability to actually get something done. I don't know how that company is still in business when they take their sweet ol' time fixing things while we're losing business because their stuff is broken. The worst part is that we don't deal directly with them - we have to go through a WAN provider that contracts them to provide data circuits to our locations. :censored:
  16. It's always something like this that puts things in perspective. We all have little annoying issues - be it at work, at home, or anywhere - but they can't be anything like what I can only imagine his parents are going through. My best to everyone, Glass.
  17. Whoever said it, they're right...Vokoun just looks sharp and the Pens are looking sharp in front of him.
  18. I got no impression that there were any neck ties at all in that arena. A classic playoff atmosphere - heightened over-excitement when the Leafs had control of the puck skating into the Boston zone, many "Go Leafs Go" chants, a few Tuuka serenades, and well-displayed enthusiasm and nervousness from various crowd shots I saw. Loved it. And not an empty seat in the house, either.
  19. I'll happily admit my incorrect prediction. This. I just can't stand Boston these days. Chara & Boychuck are goons, Lucic still pisses me off for what he did to Miller (and got away with it), Marchand looks like a punk, and they all get away with slaps on the wrist for their goonage. The environment in Toronto was phenomenal last night. That's what I want to see in Buffalo again.
  20. I can see it now...this is a game the Bruins will win with a goal late in the third or in OT...just to piss me off.
  21. The Senators for me - no doubt. The Penguins & Rangers come in a close second. I think I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than see the Rangers win. Chicago looks good and tough to beat, but I'd like to see San Jose make the finals. They've come close enough in recent years that I'd like it to be their time.
  22. That's not the only thing that makes grownups act like middle-schoolers.
  23. It's Take Your Kids to Work Day.
  24. Wasn't Marc-Andre Fleury a Vezina candidate not too long ago? He's just bad right now.
  25. I don't hear the Leafs fans as much as everyone else, but I definitely hear (and am overly sick of hearing) the Bruins fans. Like any Boston fan, they feel entitled, then feel it necessary to knock me because I'm a Sabres fan. :censored: the Bruins. Go Leafs.
