  1. Yep. Forgot about Girgensons. 4th liner is where he should be. Not sure what to do with pommers? Maybe 13th forward ? Maybe time to hang them up.
  2. I'll be starting the 2019 draft thread on opening night if Baloo is dressed for the Sabres. I'm assuming you are slotting Samson as 3rd line centre? Okposo would be a top 6 RWBAail Not,sure if this lineup is good enough to make an Avalanche type turn around but it's better than the team we saw play tonight Zadina/Svech/Tkachuk. Eichel. Reinhart TBD. O'Reilly. OKposo Smith. Mittlestadt. Fasching TBD. Larsson Baptiste Scandella. Risto McCabe. Borgen Guhle. Bogo Candidates for TBD: Bailey, Nylander, Wilson, and UFA signed to one year deal.
  3. Awful goal against but risto is completely at fault for that play even happening. Sabres have complete control of the puck and he misses Jack by a good 5 ft. Turnover and Sabres don't touch the puck again. He was awful all night IMO
  4. What is with Risto's passing tonight? Brutal
  5. Why not Sabres roster ala Kerfoot and Butcher? Plus Mittelstadt won't be playing for Amerks
  6. zadina reups Svechnikov's hat trick with 4 of his own tonight. https://twitter.com/hfxmooseheads/status/961056396140797952
  7. Article on K'Andre Miller who is a potential late 1st / early 2nd prospect http://www.usahockeyntdp.com/news_article/show/883628?referrer_id=3865497
  8. The Beanpot starts today. A few players to keep an eye on Dylan Sikura, Nolan Stevens - Northeastern Brandon Hickey - BU Nice power play for Dylan Sikura of Northeastern. Showed a lot of skill that eventually led to a PP goal He is property of the Black Hawks and has 37 points in his 25th game with th Huskies.
  9. That's a great point. Love the chart too. Do you prefer the sniper or the guy who takes it to the net? If given the choice between the 2, I'm probably going with the Russian Watch Svechnikovs 1st goal from last night, creates the turnover with a big check along the boards, he then shows off his skating and joins he rush. Gets the pass takes it to the net and shows off his hands by roofing it just under the crossbar. Not sure there are any connections between Dale Hawerchuk and the Sabres but I'm sure they will still get an honest opinion from him about his Colts star forward.
  10. Now 11 games into 2nd half of season with 30 games to go 3 losses in a row leaves the Sabres with a 4-7 record Samson has 8 points in those 11 games.
  11. I like Bouchard a lot - great passer and has an amazing shot. His defensive play and skating are said to be so-so. I like a couple of dmen better at this point Boqvist, Hughes and Dobson. I really like Svechnikov as well. 26 goals in 29 games, I can get behind that Edit*. Should have waited for his game to end. Just finished up a hat trick and now has 27 in 29 Here is video proof. https://mobile.twitter.com/ohlhockey/status/959994816221265920
  12. I do think it will be a tough call if both Boqvist and Tkachuk are available at 4. My thought is that Boqvist who plays the Right D and would slot in the top 4 with him and Risto on the Right and Guhle / Scandella on the Left. Boqvist would, hopefully, become a 25 min a game guy and would be the Top PP QB. Your top wingers plays about 17 /18 mins. I'm sure the most frustrating thing for Housley this season is the lack of speed of the defecemen. I bet he even sees a bit of himself in Boqvist. If Boqvist goes to the U18 and dominates like he did for Brynas J20 (12 goals in 20 games) and the Hlinka (8 points in 5 games) and looks like a Karlsson clone while doing it, he will be selected early by a team (like the Sabres) who put an emphasis on D mobility. I do like the physicality that Tkachuk would bring to the team and I can see the benefits of him being selected before Boqvist. Especially, if you think that you can find another puck moving mobile Dman later in the 1st or 2nd round. Im sticking with Boqvist until he proves me wrong in the coming weeks.
  13. Crusaders mock Draft 3.0 This month Buffalo has dropped two spots to 4th. 1) Anaheim (up 13 slots). Rasmus Dahlin A team already with one of the best / deepest crop of Defencemen lands Dahlin. The biggest question is who goes to make room for Dahlin? 2) Detroit (up 5 slots). Andrei Svechnikov - The Wings now have the brother combination of Andrei / Evgeny. 3) Arizona (down 2 slots). Filip Zadina - Keller now has a pure goal scorer to play on his wing 4) Buffalo (down 2 slots). Adam Boqvist - I'm starting to have my reservations about Boqvist, as he hasn't played much over the last month or so. He hasnt been able to get more than 5 minutes or so per game for Brynas. This month will be a big one for Boqvist, he can once again show he is an elite prospect vs his peer group at the much anticipated 5 nations tournament Feb 13 -17 in Plymouth. 5) Ottawa (down 2 slots). Brady Tkachuk. Last of the big 5 and BPA 6) Montreal (down 2 slots) Noah Dobson - Montreal lands best QMJHL D prospect in at least a decade. 7) Vancouver (down 2 slots) Quinton Hughes - Canucks add another puck moving Dman to the prospect pool. If Joulevi finds his game, the Canucks could have the best propect pool in the NHL. 8) Edmonton (down 2 slots) Evan Bouchard - Desperate to add skill to the roster, the Oilers land an elite level passer and PP QB 9) Florida (down 1 slot) Oliver Wahlstrom - this years Owen Tippett joins Owen Tippett as one of the top prospects for the Panthers 10) NYI (Down 1 slot) Jarred McIsaac - Solid 2 way defenceman. Thats two Moosehead in the top 10 for anyone counting.
  14. Absolutely, a real tough job for scouts. He isn't even ranked by NHL central scouting.
  15. Here is another interesting prospect that is getting some interest. LIam Kirk playing in the English men's league. Will probably play in CHL next year. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=230605 https://mobile.twitter.com/gbhockeyfuture/status/848538255494656002 http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/draft-eligible-liam-kirk-driven-to-become-nhl-s-first-uk-born-and-trained-player
  16. Since we don't have White Castle here in Canada, hopefully Harvey's will have to do. In Arizona tonight, Raanta was supposed to start tonight but didn't at last moment and is not on the bench. Most likely just sick but could be competition for Sabres if they want to move Lehner.
  17. Thanks, any idea why no stats yet this year on Elite Prospects? wonder if its high school stats are not available or has he been hurt? there doesnt seem to be a date on the artice. Sounds interesting for sure.
  18. If the Sabres land one of the Forwards with their first pick - Tychonick or Jet Woo would be a great early 2nd rounder (if Available). To be honest, I only first heard of Tychonick this past weekend but he sounds like a prospect we need to get to know. From the Draft Analyst ; "Easily the most noticeable player on the ice with or without the puck. Tychonick’s skating is at the forefront of his overall game — everything he does with the puck is a consequence of it. Whether it’s skating through open ice or weaving around traffic, the North Dakota commit commands a lot of respect on the ice, and you can tell he keeps opponents honest. Give him space, and he’ll exploit it. Tighten up on him? Forget it — he’s gone" here is an isolation video of Jonny http://sportsandmoore.com/jonny-tychonick-2018-nhl-draft-eligible/
  19. Dunn has a regular spot on St.Louis, there is no chance they are subtracting from the current roster when they are going for the cup
  20. Absolutely right, plus the centre position is rather weak. May not even see a centre taken in top 10.
  21. Even if the Sabres pass Ottawa, they are still 83% drafting top 5. Here is the expected Line-up for Sweden at the upcoming 5 nation tourney: Feb Adam Boqvist will be the one to keep an eye on. If he can dominate against his peers, like he did at the Hlinka last August, he can almost guarantee himself a top 5 draft slot. Others on Sweden who could be 1st rounders - Filip Hallander andJacob Olofsson, : https://twitter.com/hockeymag/status/958287266899689472
  22. link didn't work... http://www.tankathon.com/nhl/pick_odds
  23. Edit. Makar played in the AJHL not the BCHL. Should have said same level of hockey
  24. Matthew has 16., Brady 7 in 24 games
  25. Watching the player introduction for the AHL all star game. Some interesting names I remember that from the 2015/16 draft board. can't remember who wanted Rasmus Anderson and Mitch Vande Sompel but both are now all stars Also, Brady Austin is an all star the season after the Sabres let him walk Dylan Storm is there too. Can I say again, thank God for a successful tank!
