Change of strategy tonight instead of giving up a goal in the first 2 mins of the 3rd they gave up a goal last 2 mins of 2nd. We will see if it pays of for them.

Weve seen this game a lot lately. Lots of opportunities, can’t beat a top goalie and opposition wins by converting on one of their few chances by going strong to the net

Luckily in Burlington no one actually tried. but I’ve hated the leafs as long as I can remember. Not sure why, probably mostly due to their arrogant fans. though the leafs of the 90s were easy to hate starting with Tucker and Domi

Brutal. Nothing left in the tank in the 3rd They let a bad team stick around they needed to put this one to bed in the first 2 periods guess 1 point is better than none but still feels like a point lost luckily others teams in the playoff race lost too

I’m always intrigued why people, who don’t live in Buffalo and surrounding area, become Sabres fans. 9/10 times when I tell people I’m a Sabres fan, living in Burlington Ontario (30 mins from Toronto, an hour a bit from Buffalo), they always say “what are you? American or something?” so if you are Canadian. Or living outside the greater Buffalo area. I ask “why the Sabres?” My reason is simple. - I preferred the swords on the jersey to the Maple Leaf. Unfortunately for my Dad a long time leaf fan, as was most everyone else when you are 5 or 6 Those things like having a sword on the jersey matter! luckily I was able to watch games on tv and listen to them on the radio. Plus the Sabres were good in those days mid 70s the biggest reason I remained a Sabres fan when the swords on the jersey weren’t so important? #11 Gilbert Perreault. He was must watch tv Its a shame that a lot of Sabres footage was destroyed or is difficult to find. I still remember games , or moments. Taking the puck behind his own the net and skating by everyone Splitting the d and decking the goalie I was lucky enough to see the Sabres in Maple Leaf Gardens in 1978 I’ve looked for this game on YouTube because I swear he scored on a slap shot from outside the blue line hopefully younger Sabres fans have gone back and watched what they could of Perreault So what’s your story. Why are you a Sabres fan while not having any connection to the city of Buffalo?

Kids in southern Ontario are becoming Bills fans again. there were a lot around my age 53 who were early teens when Jim Kelly came to town in 83/84 then about 20 years of Pats fans. Imagine my life surrounded by leafs and Pats fans??? Now my son, who is 17, says most kids are Bills fans again. not sure what the actually percentage of Canadians at the stadium is but I think it was close to 15% Allen is good for the long term. Those canadian teenagers today will soon become season ticket holders. Like I was for years. The Golden shoes Joe area should definitely be considered part of the Bills territory….just don’t play any games in the sky dome or whatever they call the monstrosity of a stadium in Toronto. go bills ! edit.
