I wanna come back to this. There's nothing inherently wrong about deciding to move Mitts and thinking Byram is gonna be better, so you'll figure it out later... but he never figured it out. Adams has no idea what to do with Byram but he's gonna sign him anyways. There's no plan, just 3 lhd on long term deals with a 4th in Byram in bound.

Also, not trying to crap on Peterka he just plays and is successful in a different way.

We really only have 2 good checking players in the top 6. Benson and Tuch. Tage and McLeod are serviceable. Greenway and Zucker get it. We really need another guy that gritty and good at forward. We need 2-3 on defense.

Quinn is 23. Samuelsson is 25. Byram is 23. I agree about needing more grit, I just disagree they ran a team of 21yr old finesse guys.

Yea, really. I don't see anyone that age playing a finesse game. Quinn was a finesse guy. I suppose Power counts.

I'd trade Quinn and Byram for Dobson. Honestly, I might trade whatever it takes for Dobson. I'd then target a really tough lhd to add in to this team somewhere.

They aren't trading for a center. So the centers we have, Norris, McLeod, Kulich, Krebs and Tage can play centers if needed. We've had deeper conversations here than anything Adams offered.

Love me some Desnoyers but I don't see him being available at 7. I've seen some stuff where he might go over Hagens at 3 or 4. Schaefer, Musa, Martone, Desnoyers is a real possibility. Bergeron is exactly who I think about when watching him, as always it's a style comparison not a direct comparison.

The defensive metrics tend to agree. The team got worse under him, not better.
