Two things to keep in mind. Dahlin would have to agree to sign any sheet. I don't see that from him, he's not cut throat like that. Second, he would also have to get to RFA which seems unlikely. Signing him long term this summer is undoubtedly a priority.

It isn't the assets, it is are you using them to trade for the a serious upgrade? Hart to me looks like an upgrade but not a really great one. If I am going to spend Rosen, a 2nd and something else, I need something more than Hart. It isn't about winning the trade per say but that Hart just isn't enough of an upgrade. For example if Nashville calls and says, we want Rosen, 2024 1st, 2023 2nd, and *insert rochester guy like Weisbach here* I am pulling that trigger. I think it is an overpayment but idc.

Saros would be the goalie I would try and target. If Nashville is rebuilding, they can get some assets for him as they won't be ready to contend again with him on this current deal. They also have Askarov in the pipe so it depends on where they see themselves the next 2 years and what they want. Rosen, a 2nd, and something else would be fine. We already gave them Asplund so maybe that helps.

Not really. Arizona has 1 player above 46 points an that is Clayton Keller at 69pts. Buffalo has 5 players over 46 points and all 5 of those players are signed to long term deals. Arizona's best U23 defender is Victor Sodestrom. At 22 he has 5pts in 15 NHL games. Buffalo's best U23 defender is Dahlin and their 2nd best is Power. Power has 26pts in 63 games as a 20yr old. Arizona forfeited a pick in 2022 draft because of cheating... Buffalo didn't. The Sabres 2022 draft is better IMPO. Arizona took Cooley, Geekie, and Lamoureux in the first round and I could argue that only Cooley is better or on par with Savoie and that Östlund and Kulich easily slot above the other two. Arizona is about 2 years behind where Buffalo is to be honest so no, I don't think it is somewhere in the middle. I think it more likely is 20% as opposed to 50% similar.
