  1. The Sabres spent the offseason on a purpose built 4th line. Barring injuries, Kulich won't be on it.
  2. Columbus is where Buffalo was in about 2020. All their higher end prospects aka the 19-22 crowd are in the NHL mostly. There's about a 5 year lag between getting your drafting decent to see players and talent really starting to stack up in the system. Kulich was good, as expected. Helenius was good but imo looked just a touch behind at points but he'll be fine. Sabres defense was good throughout. If the actual Sabres play this fast and hard we might make the playoffs.
  3. I watched it and it was proof the Sabres are at least aware of what social media thinks but man... that 4 min promo felt like pandering spin bs. I'm not trying to be an ass but it reminded me of a sales video.
  4. Buffalo turned their offense off in 2nd half. It was either quick timing throws or hand offs. Also Buffalo on defense contributed to Tua making throws he did. The 2nd interception, Vonn is almost too Tua and he must chucks it. That's said, Buffalo will need another level on offense. They side seems a bit start stop. I think part of it is Buffalo has a run game for the 1st time.
  5. Great game by Buffalo's defense after yet again starting questionably. The first interception was on the receiver not Tua and at that point they were moving the ball well. I do appreciate that it appears they can adjust well at halftime. Reminds me a bit of Kirby Smart. I worry a bit about the offense. Allen had short fields all game and the offensive line was great. Still, I felt like there wasn't much downfield unless Allen was scrambling but maybe I shouldn't worry because so far, the short stuff is working great. Great game and 11 days off is very good. Allen can rest up and so can anyone else.

  7. Idk why I'm awake watching this. I do appreciate both teams are running a lot to keep the clock moving. Also go Bills!
  8. I believe Crosby ended up have a pinched nerve in his upper neck which caused concussion like symptoms. He got a chiropractic adjustment and was g2g.
  9. Peterka was good on that line end of year so I don't agree. I think they'll make Zucker battle Benson for that 2nd line spot.
  10. We knew Was it Crosby? I won't be surprised if Benson ends up on the 3rd line to start the season. I think Ruff gives Zucker a shot with Cozens and Quinn.
  11. But wait, there's more!
  12. Extra extra, read all about it! Sabres stop being lazy and post pictures of pre season skating: I kid, but it's nice to see them.
  13. Good luck
  14. No. It will not be Alex Tuch. It will be Rasmus Dahlin.
  15. I would note that looking at those height/weights, they are all from the official height/weights released by teams at the start of last year (unless I missed something, please correct me if I am wrong). I would guess we would need to wait until Sabres camp opens before getting updates, although teams are notoriously bad at updating stuff. That said, Rosen has a path to the NHL in a 3rd line role but idk when that could happen without injury. I would hope he is very much a central figure in this tournament after all the post AHL years he has.
  16. There's an image I thought I had scrubbed from my brain.
  17. Yea, they can talk to each other and maybe even bond over their shared culture.
  18. Yea, cuz he wasn't playing well. I've seen this a bunch but I'm confused by it. Poltapov was not great the last 2 years. He tried to play hero puck and skated into trouble.
  19. Hasn't played very well until this season. Sometimes things just snap into place with guys, it's the hope with krebs.
  20. Two 6'4" 205lb Russian defenders who shoot opposite and are solid defensively... yes yes yes.
