If these rumors of Detroit getting players like Stamkos and Guentzel are true, we can just line up behind yet another real NHL team making moves and not praying that their own draft picks will save the team. And if they don't pay UPL, and just rely on Levi, they will reach a whole other level of stupid.

Thank goodness Buffalo did not hire Bill Zito after they interviewed him for GM. The kick in the nuts just keep coming with this organization that can never make the right decision.

Guentzel would be one of my top targets for Buffalo but no way does he not end up in Vancouver or Toronto.

I honestly have no interest in extending anyone on this team right now. I hope they wait until the end of the year to see if any of them are worth it.

They should not do it this year because it does not make sense. That means it's definitely happening because I can't remember the last time the Sabres did anything right, honestly. Nothing they ever do makes sense, it's really quite remarkable how poorly run this org is, brutal.

Worst name, color scheme and jersey logo in the entire NHL. Way to go, wow, talk about a missed opportunity with the Yet and the logo possibilities. Our team might still be one of the worst in the NHL but at least we have a top 3 logo.

Possibly, but I think Thompson already peaked, Cozens is a 3rd line center (imo), and this team has zero leadership with skill, I mean ZERO. Someone like Stamkos would turn this team around instantly (leadership and sick skill). I believe they need someone like him and 75% of the bottom 6 need to be replaced.

This is what it would take to get to the playoffs. Stamkos would not come here in a miiiiiiiillion years though.

He is as bad as this team is right now. Other than the uniforms, this whole franchise pretty much stinks from A-Z (ownership, roster, coaches, in-game experience, broadcasting.)

I agree, and that is why the only chance of seeing this team make the playoffs next year is in my dreamland. Their forward lineup in this years playoffs would have been the worst out of all the teams.

JJP TNT Tuch Benson ???? Quinn Skinner Cozens ???? ???? ???? Greenway Yup, they absolutely have to get a 2nd line center in a trade, along with filling those three other ??? you have. Anything short of those changes and this team will not finish with more than 90ish points. The forwards are nowhere near good enough as is.

I am starting to think that the Sabrs actually need to blow the entire team up for better talent after seeing the rosters on these playoff teams. The problem is…how are they going to get better talent when they have wasted so many high draft picks on mediocre Players? The only solution is to trade their top level prospects for proven players and hope that somebody bites.

Utah Yeti seems like a no-brainer. The logo has the potential to be pretty sick too.

Guentzel is the perfect player all around. Unfortunately, we do not have anybody like him. We need about three of those guys minimum.

This is what is very strange to me. The Jets bitch slapped us up and down the ice The last time we played them. After that game, I wanted nothing more than to have a roster like theirs. Not quite sure what is going on over there in Winnipeg.

This Boston Toronto series is exactly why we really needed to get into the playoffs. The team, as it is currently constructed would be absolutely ragdolled from start to finish. It would actually be embarrassing. The good part about that is that this idiot GM would finally realize how to build a team.
