Bun, I agree. I think it’s tough on a guy like Tage. He clearly likes Donny as he lifted him up and look what he became. But he also probably knows that they need to be pushed harder and that Donny needs to go. I think we will be a better team when a new coach who’s got some stones and will make this team understand there are no more free rides.

The nhl and their stupid sometimes 2 pt sometimes 3 pt games will keep the illusion that the Sabres can make the dance but we won’t get close. My guess is we get 80 pts. another year of waiting. On the upside, no stress.

The Canucks got their Boudreau bounce when he came in (kinda like granato) but there was no accountability, nobody worried about sitting, no pp or pk structure. I am stunned at the Canucks this year. Tocchet and company don’t mess around and players play hard almost every night. DG should be praised for getting a lot of the kids but it’s clear it’s too country club still. The Sabres need some extreme tough love and structure.

The fact they play at home like this in a fairly common scenario and to me that has a lot to do with coaching. CBJ is dog crap and spanking us?
