  1. I have an Elantra as well, a 2005, and after nearly 100,000 carefree miles my son is now driving it. If you're not crazy about the current Elantra styling, consider an Elantra Touring wagon. They look so-so in pictures, but every time I see one in person, I'm impressed. It looks like 2012 was the last year they were sold.

C'MON! you look at that and you're impressed? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but man C'MON!!

    Lol

  2. ChileanSeaBass Let me propose something I did for a winter car. Scour auto trader or local dealers and find a used 2012 Ford Fusion with about 20,000 miles on it and you still have original warranty on it and then add the premium ford extended warranty which will add another four years. These cars will be former rentals but you can find great deals and with the warranty your protected anyway.

I bought the warranty on line at a greatly reduced price that local dealers couldn't/wouldn't touch. I would be happy to provide you further info if you want.

The recapture risk is on the Sabres. If Ehrhoff is traded and retires prior to the 2020-21 season, at which point he'll be 38 years old and only making $1M per season, Buffalo will have a cap hit of $10M for 2020-21. If he's still a Sabre and retires that same year the cap hit will be $3M for 2020-21.

In my opinion trading him is not an option.

I think he would be an attractive piece in a trade either straight up or as a throw in, but as noted, i think there's a good chance he retires and we cannot get stuck with a 10m cap hit while rebuilding (hopefully contending by then).... The other thing I'm thinking is he's a pretty good offensive D man, we have some talent in the pipeline, but it seems like we have some young shutdown guys, and Ehrhoff would be a good veteran offensive minded guy to have on the blue line

Thanks guys. I wasn't clear on the recapture penalty. It's not that he's untradeable, he is a danger to us only then if he retires while on another team. He does have some value to me but he does a lot of things that drive me crazy too and I wouldn't mind cashing him for something up front.

    Hey Darcy, F You!

  4. I guess it can potentially be a risky move for the Sabres.... However, with his hit and his top 4 D skill, I can't see him going anywhere anytime soon

Why? Or why not? I can see plenty of reason to trade him with some risk to the team that takes him. Agree that he is top 4 skill set and not likely going anywhere and personally think any buyout talk with him is a joke. But I would love to trade him.

  5. If Miller has indeed told them he wasn't interested in resigning he should not play another game in a Buffalo uniform. I stated this a few weeks back that a simple groin injury is all it takes. Now if Moulson doesn't wake them up nothing will.

This is Buffalo. Plan for the worst because it most likely will happen.

All of this. Wonder how many people will be either suicidal or homicidal now shuld anything happen to him.

EDIT: English thread. shuld shood have been should.

  6. I was hoping he re signed because as bad as we are with him, I'm afraid of how very bad we will be without him. However I think if he was going to re sign it would have happened by now. Combine that with some of the comments from GMTM and you can see the writing on the wall. Time to pull the trigger on a deal. Wish him well and see if he wants to come back for his last two years in a back up role and be a participant of a cup run here.

Thank you Ryan for all you have given us over the years. Best of luck with your new team and hope you win a cup.

  7. Is anyone going to miss Miller when he leaves? I ask because he is really the only Sabres goalie I know. When Haske was here I was young and I do remember him but Miller is really the one guy I have always watched. Part of me will be sad when he leaves.

My seats are at the end of the rink we are at in the first and third period. I will very much miss miller. Over the years the dude has provided many saves that have caused the crowd to stand and applaud and hail MILLERRRRRRR!!!!!! I will really miss him.

  8. Wasn't it already reported what the Sabres said they wanted for Miller? Again, just because the Market is "lukewarm at best", that doesn't mean teams wouldn't want him, I'm sure that if he was put on waivers or was being given away for next to nothing the majority of the league would have claims in on him. The market for goaltenders is always a small one, there aren't many spots for them in the league with teams usually carrying only 2 on their roster. Teams that would be looking to spend on an upgrade in net aren't typically teams that are in playoff spots at this time, and ones that are having troubles and not in the playoffs right now typically aren't willing to give up much for a guy who becomes a UFA at the end of the season.

As for the first big bit of whining, no one is making you stay a Sabres/Bills fan. You can leave whenever you want.

We also said that we weren't going to just let guys walk. The market is small so Miller should be moved asap then. It cant go both ways. We cant get what we want but we wont let him leave for nothing.

Tick tock tick tock. One groin pull away from zero return. I am not suggesting moving Miller is easy but the teams involved at this point I would think have made their intentions known. Lets go!

Seeing Moulson go down should be inspiration to put some emphasis on Miller.

  9. Just wanted to say to Foligno's Jock I think you did great work with how you made your point today. I know you didn't get ###### done at work though cause you were defending your position all day! Good job but you never answered my question in all of this an I think it will impact my decision on renewing season tickets at the time when you say we can easily work this deal. How much will the ###### beers cost in the arena when the salary cap hits $100 million dollars?

Ok I guess I'll carry the flag. Enroth has how many wins? It's hard to win with this team or whatever he said. He is right of course so he should have shutout by now knowing that right?

Really? The goal support for Enroth average per game ranks them the 2nd worst in NHL history in terms of GPG average. And you're going to hold that comment against him? By the way, Enroth did hold a shutout through regulation in a game and the team couldn't even score a goal for him. How may does Miller have?

I guess I should have used a sarcasm emoticon of some sorts.

  11. Freeman raises an important point - there is no reason for the Sabres to cave now, they have weeks until the deadline.

There is more pressure is on the Kings, they are two points out of 8th and can't score to save their lives.

It's entirely possible that the kings have been adamant about not trading Toffoli up until now, but their desperation for offence reached the tipping point and/or the Sabres added something that sweetened the pot enough.

I would imagine that's how these things generally work.

As far as the Stadium Series reference goes, the Kings were in the afterglow of the big Saturday match - just speculating.

    No you're right!

But the Leafs traded for Gleason and announced it during the warm up for the Winter Classic no?

  12.

My point was, what you saw from Miller last night, you won't see the rest of the year. And if he sticks around you won't see next year either. Nor did you see it the three previous years.

All these criticism of Enroth's weaknesses and downfalls, yet he still has comparable numbers to Miller, a so-called 'elite' goaltender by some on this board. With comparable stats, and Enroth not playing up to par by some board members' standards, can you imagine how good Enroth will be when he has the opportunity to fine tune his skills?

Ok I guess I'll carry the flag. Enroth has how many wins? It's hard to win with this team or whatever he said. He is right of course so he should have shutout by now knowing that right?
