Wow, Rick sounds good. Not only his voice, but his descriptions seem so much sharper than in the recent past. I love hearing his little giggle. I needed it tonight.

Ottawa lost 3-1 to the Preds here in Nashville last night. They should be the more tired team.

I am a Neanderthal. I wanted John Scott in our line up tonight. When we play the Flyers I will have that feeling again cause of Gudas. I'm old school I guess. Eye for an eye. I don't want guys like that saying boo to our guys.

They have 6 & possibly 7 (if Nelson shows he's ready - jury's out on that) NHL D. There does not appear to be a #8, does it?
This team gave up a LOT of high quality chances tonight. They have begun playing every other night for the forseeable future. Nelson is about to be getting forced into the fire. You comfortable w/ what they're running & more importantly, how comfortable are you w/ Strachan or Falk in there?
Taro, this may not be rational bit I don't want to see Strach here. He is a tank member. He was a tank commander of the 3rd wing. I JUST SAY NO to seeing him here again. If he's here, Matt ing Ellis is out of retirement to play quality minutes for us too! We have moved on and I will gladly suffer with a Nelson over Strach. If my option was down to Rudy or Strach I think I would have a different opinion though.
Good win tonight. Ugly first couple periods but pretty good third.
Carrier made a really nice play on the second goal by Samson. Good effort for the kid.

On another note, Grant was used in every situation tonight and played a pretty darn good game.
I've been a little critical of him but I have to admit, if used properly (bad DD!) he can have a pretty effective presence (as good DD) and coach could seems to be figuring out.

Games like this are why I"m still a fan of Lehner. I still feel like when he's on he's a goalie that can win his team games, and this was definitely one of them.
I'm a fan of Lenny period. I expect him to be our goalie for the next ten years. There will be plenty o games that he's not great in. Hot damn though if he can put games like this out there that's better than anyone could have hoped for.

Had a pretty smooth game tonight I thought. Obviously you need to try and protect him and by that I mean minutes and zones etc. but I won't complain about his game tonight.
I didn't want to get too excited. Waited for the puck to drop to celebrate. THANKS NHL. Or Obama.

This has been driving me nuts. It's Austin. AUSTIN. With an I. I know Auston Matthews is stuck with the first name his parents pinned on him, but geez... Auston? Nobody spells it like that.
So this game actually means something. It could mean that the Sabres have, in fact, turned the corner and will grind these ###### down,

Thursday's Leafs game tickets going for less than $20 on StubHub. So neither Sabres nor Leafs fans seem to give a crap now.
I wonder what the dynamic Sabres price is for this one?
I really don't understand this one. I would have thought Leaf fans more than ever would want to see them on the cheap and get to see Matthews. Just really don't get it.
To say nothing of our fans wanting to see him too.

Lehner still scares me with his rebound control. He flops around too much, has trouble locating the puck at times, hope he cleans that up eventually.

When his stick blew up, he actually closed the gap on the Wild forward. I was shocked.
Adrenaline? Oh moment maybe but he did well on the recovery for sure. Without a stick lol

I could see where Baptiste could fill the DLo role for a while, although it would just be until he moved up in the depth chart.
