  1. The pension is the main reason I stayed in until retirement. Free Healthcare for life was also important to me, but it was mainly for the pension. The army allowed me to retire at 43.
  2. Another option would be job corps. Free room and board with a wide variety of trades, from welding to computer programming, truck driver to IT. Open to everyone.
  3. No, it's really not. If I can get out of it, so can they. MOST enlisted personnel join to escape poverty. It's a way out if you want out bad enough.
  4. They could join the army. Liveable wage, great benefits, free college education, learn a trade. It's open to everyone. There's no excuse to live in poverty.
  5. Yesterday I thanked you, today I gave you a green checkmark. I feel dirty.
  6. No, it's not dead. Not even close to dead. I have alot of 6K content I'll be posting in the near future.
  7. Despite my wife's efforts, I've struggled to understand what this term means. This is the best explanation I've heard/read. For that, I thank you.
  8. I'll go on record right now, Levi will start at least 25 games next year and have a winning record.
  9. I've been hammering this for months. Skinners contract was structured to be bought out after next season.
  10. Tommy Novak from Nashville is a UFA, I think he could be a productive third line player on the Sabres.
  11. Seriously? What kind of discussion do you think will come from that? You really anticipate someone taking an opposing view on here that would facilitate a discussion? All you did was let more people know that idiot exists. Why? If you really want a discussion, I believe asking why you would share a video like that is a fair question. When I see a post like that my assumption is that poster has low self esteem and craves validation from other posters to feel better about themselves. "look everybody! This guy made a disgusting remark about suicide! I think he's disgusting! LOOK AT ME EVERYBODY! IM A GOOD PERSON!! VALIDATE ME!!" I also don't think that's who you are. I was curious, so I thought I'd ask. As always, YMMV
  12. I'm willing to bet there's a very tiny percentage of posters on sabrespace that know that podcast exists and would have never seen that. Now we'll all see it because you felt the need to share it. What is wrong with you?
  13. I haven't watched it yet You *****ingprickcocksucker!
  14. I love afternoon games! Sabres for the legal limit.
  15. Skinner has a NMC, he isn't going anywhere. His contract was structured to be bought out after next season, and I believe Adams will. All this talk about not being able to pay all the forwards is not true. If they all fit can be debated, but the money is there, that includes re-signing Mitts.
  16. My wife and I bought one of our Irish Setters from a breeder in Fort worth in 2019. We spent a week there, seemed like a nice place to live.
  17. What part of Texas do you live in?
  18. I'd like to experiment with a single elimination tournament for the 16 non playoff teams, winner gets 1OA.
  19. Everyone says we don't have room for the kids, I disagree. Next year we have: Skinner TT Tuch JJ Cozens Quinn Benson Mitts (I think he's resigned long term.) Greenway Krebs ( I think he gets his QO, not much more) Savoie and Östlund can, should, and in Ostlunds case will be in Rochester next year. Both Kulich and Rosen should, and likely will, start in Rochester and may spend enother year there depending on their play. Even if they earn a call-up and play well enough to stick, isn't that a good thing? We still have room to add at least three FAs. I think Skinners last two years are bought out after next season. If they are his cap hit would be 4M(5M savings), 3M(6M savings), and 2M for two following two years. Greenways 3M comes off tho books. JJ & Quinn need resigned, but they're not centers so I don't think they get Cozens money. Additionally, I think, and I believe most would agree, Benson, Quinn and JJ have 1st line potential, by the 25/26 season they should be producing like it. Mitts, Thompson and Tuch should be producing like it. Cozens should be producing at least at a top six level. Rosen and Kulich are probably on the team this year, Östlund and Savoie probably start in Rochester. Still room for 2/3 FA. The next year Tuchs 4.75M comes off the books. He'll be 30/31. If he is resigned it won't be long term or for much more $. Savoie and Östlund will be on the roster, still room for a FA or two. RFAs are Benson, Kulich, Rosen, Savoie and Östlund. Benson is the only one likely to earn a big contract. The rest likely won't be able to earn it in thier one/two years on the team. If any of the four do produce enough to earn big money, wouldn't that be a GOOD problem to have? There's plenty of money, and plenty of time and space to integrate the kids into the lineup.
