I mean, two weeks ago the Pens were like "make us an offer for anyone - 'cept Sid" They are 5-4-1 in their last 10. Not lighting up the league by any means, but better than 4-4-2. What TF is your point? you are probably asking ... seaons. ebbs. flows. streaks. hot. cold. Current pace ... 79 points. After two wins - 85 point pace. The season is not young, but it is not old. I waited until my mid-30's to reach my true potential ... maybe the Sabres are waiting until game 35 to really bring it all together? Who knows. Points %-wise, we have 3 pretty mediocre teams to leap from for 8th ... No president's trophy for us, but 16th best team in the league? Possibly!

I took the original comment to mean that we sold off every useful player to tank for Sir Jack and we had nearly nothing when he arrived. But, I could be wrong.

I know it was a few years ago, but still nearly a decade into the drought, they signed Hall. We can all roll our eye and laugh now - but at the time, Hall was one season removed from being MVP and was the free agent that year. So "not a destination" does not cut it with me. I'd challenge this, too. The Bills signed Mario Williams, at the time The premier defensive end in the NFL, during free agency. This was more than 10 years into the drought. Hyde and Poyer, although not all-pros yet, both signed before JA was JA. Players will sign in Buffalo ... for the right money. Especially hockey players - most do NOT come from some big city, they are small town guys. Buffalo, the City, has a great reputation if your name in not Travis Henry or Evander Kane ... The Sabres franchise is not a FA destination. Hell, most of the players grew up at a higher latitude than Buffalo. And heck - Buffalo is not even that cold! All BS lies by KA and it makes me MAD.

(off topic?) Professional Women's Hockey League Teams

I was careful (hopefully careful enough?) to read that they are "unisex" I think they are trying to appeal to women without alienating men?
