They were in a playoff spot on American Thanksgiving last year ...

I was actually thinking he was pressing a bit early on when nothing was working for the team. He seems to be a bit more relaxed now that he sees everyone is finally chipping in. I seem to recall several "WTF?" moments with him last year, too. High risk, high reward. That said - I feel for the guy ... what they went through, I cannot even begin to fathom. ❤️

6 points in 8 games ... most teams kill for that kind of production on D.

I think back to the Otters game. They looked like the team of the first 3 games early on. Sluggish, no energy, sloppy passing. Claude Jeer-roo slashes Power after the play and calls him a "wet dog" (?), big scrum ... different team after that. It was like they suddenly remembered they could crash into players on the other team.

3 games in, the Sabres are literally the worst teamska-T Palmtown replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club The Sabres need their "Major League" moment. Maybe the whole lot of them need glasses to see the puck better? A cardboard cutout of a nekked GM Howdy Doody, except they get to put clothes ON IT when they win.

GDT: Avalanche @ Sabres, 12:30pm Oct. 13, 2025, 🎙 📺 ESPN+/MSGska-T Palmtown replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club If the Sabres had this last year ... playoffs: Yeah, I know ... three games - but a boy can dream, right? Again, small sample - but last year .919% gets you 7th in the league ... but the 2.73 was middle of the road - tells you the Sabres are giving up waaaaay too many shots.

So will all of Buffalo sports go 0-for-October?

I will take this loss on my shoulders. I polled the crowd and was told to wear my white throwback jersey, when I knew in my heart the right answer was red goat head practice jersey. Sorry everyone - it won't happen again.

Help me pick my fit for watching tonight's game in my basement ... Dark blue Eichel #15? Red goat head practice jersey? White throwback from before they switched to the goat?

Tyler Bertuzzi currently leading the NHL in points ... Edit: They changed the scoring now Bertuzzi, Nazar, and Teravainen all have 2 pts each.

McDavid extends for 2 years at $12.5m per yearska-T Palmtown replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club I put this together in US$ (sorry, local currency here): I found the % of league average to be interesting. Note that Curry's number includes some of him owning a stake in some company.

McDavid extends for 2 years at $12.5m per yearska-T Palmtown replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club Considering I read the average american (and probably canadians are close?) will earn somewhere around $1.6M for their entire working career ... i think they can ALL "afford" to leave money on the table. It would be even more interesting to see how the top earners from each sport compare to each other. Is it proportional to league average salaries? Proportional to TV contracts? Totally unrelated?

McDavid extends for 2 years at $12.5m per yearska-T Palmtown replied to mjd1001's topic in The Aud Club If feel like another GM picking up the phone and talking to McDavid (his agent, really) while under contract with the Oilers is a major rule violation that could forfeit draft picks ... probably why no one did it. Edit: As per usual the carefully crafted snark and humorous sarcasm of the post I replied to went right over my head ... oops!
