Having played Non-Professional Co-Ed Beer league level hockey as a goalie for many years, I can honestly say those kinds of break away type shots are the worst to try and defend. Coming in so slowly like that and up close, you try to wait them out and stay up, but because they are coming in so slow, if you start to make your move and they see it they can just hang on and fake you out. The only ones I hate more are the shots when you fully expect them to shoot high and the plucks just seems like it was glued to the ice and slides in

    Wow.

Are you local? I have a guy who helps me with my rental property on things I don’t feel like tackling. I would bet he could save you a few bucks.

Not to mention, you could save a few bucks by buying some of that material yourself instead of relying on a company/person to buy it for you.

That price doesn't seem too bad depending on the house type and size

Also depends on how many windows and what type of replacements going in.

An older 2-storey 2,000 sqft house with a bunch of odd shape (custom) windows could drive up the cost.

The only problem I found with buying the material yourself is that many of the better reno companies don't want to come out and just do the install work. They will only install if your are buying through them because they won't warranty the work if its not what they normally would use. A few years ago I purchased new exterior doors for my front and side from a local box store, they wanted almost $1,000 each to install $300 doors. I figured I would do it myself. When I started thinking about doing it I realized I didn't want to do it myself since my house is block walls with stucco and I wasn't sure about how to flash everything afterwards. The doors are in my garage still because everyone place we called said they would only install whats purchased from them, so you end up having to try and find a 'Jack of all trades' handyman to do it

What will you do when Adams does nothing this offseason either? Just rolls back the same team with maybe 1 vet replacement up front?

You don't want to upset chemistry.......

And they probably still need some more time to review the players they have now

Thanks for building the defense up Kevyn. Guess he's already looking to next year. And the misery continues.

But making trades hurts chemistry, and it would upset the locker room because it shows the front office dowsnt have confidence in the current roster

You also don't want to make the playoffs if your not a cup favorite.......

(Or atleast so I have read in multiple places)

Htf would he do that.  Aren't they like Starbucks are here in the States?  Those things are everywhere.

Location wise, yes, they are similar and can be found on most corners We have about 8-9 of them here. At one point we had 3 on one street (in about a 1 mile radius)

Starbucks here would be considered more of a Higher end coffee shop, quality wise they are more like Canadas version of Duncan Donuts

2023 is one of the strongest drafts in years supposedly.  No way we should be trading away our first, even if it got us in the playoffs, there;s no way we're competing with a Boston type team with our current D and goalies.  If you can get someone cheaper to replace Bryson, I'm all for it though.  I don't need to see him play ever again.  Why in the world is he starting over Klague, his stats and advanced metrics are beyond horrible.  Why do we need to be starting a very undersized dman who obviously can't play D and provides nothing offensively.  He is way below replacement level.

It's worked so well missing the playoffs and collecting Picks/Prospects. Maybe they should try something different and make the playoffs so some of their players can experience it, even though it's not likely they would beat the Bruins or win the Cup.....

Just breaking the drought might help the culture and help the players with some playoff experience

So there’s no obligation, or at least an attempt, to de-escalate? We just start swinging because we feel like the words he used, “deserved it?”

Neither of these people are well-adjusted adults. Like, grow up.

I would say they did try to de-escalate the situation by ignoring him/not yelling back at him. It used to be that they tell you just ignore people like that. IIRC, he even tells the big guy to come down and hit him, and he got hit. Then he starts crying that he got hit.

  8. Considering all pro sports are rigged like pro wrestling now that sports betting is legal............. this game makes sense

I saw alot of comments elsewhere questioning how the Flames could be the favorite in this game, seeing the spread have the Sabres at +1.5 many said this was an easy bet. Las Vegas saw this, and decided to make some calls as revenge for the Eichel deal........

    It all makes sense now

And the first one back is at 12:30 on a Saturday

    So stupid.

    They’ll be fine.

Was there atleast something at the arena this week preventing them from playing that maybe the Pegulas asked the league not to book anything this week?

It's not like the Sabres have played  ton of games more then any others that they needed the time off for other teams to catch up to them. I believe Calgary has played 5-6 games more then Buffalo, but Buffalo gets an extra week off after the All Star break? Maybe the schedule makers thought they were doing the Sabres a favor because they were going to be sending half the team to the game this year?

And he stopped 4 or 5 shots that should have been goals.

The Sabres had 8 shots thru 2 periods, goaltending needs to improve but for a young team, the effort has not been nowhere near close enough the last two games.

Yeah, it's also tough to look great all the time when it's looks like no one else in front of you showed up to play.

I seem to remember Miller didn't look great when he got regular playing time in the league. There are very few goalies that will look great when they face a games worth of shots in 2 periods and no one playing defence.

If UPL wants to stick in this league, he needs to fix his high glove side.

    And his rebound control.

Maybe that was the plan today, don't play defence and let Calgary have guys wide open so UPL can get a ton of action to work on his deficiencies

This franchise is just playing 4D chess......
