I really can't hate the Giants. I know they beat the Bills in their first Super Bowl over 20 years ago (I really do wisah that the TV announcers would give Norwood and the missed FG a rest though), but it was a close game that came down to a missed FG to win, I can't hate another team for winning such a close game when the Bills had the chance to win it at the end. Redskins and Cowboys on the other hands, those were embarrassing beat downs that stung a little more As for the Pats, being a division rival, and one that has embarrassed the Bills many times over the last decade, I could never cheer for them Divison rival (Pats, Jets, Dolphins) trumps losing in the Super Bowl 20 years ago +/- (Giants, 'Skins, Cowgirls)

Do you really think Vin Diesel would make a really good Hockey Player? He might draw in a larger female crowd to games, and I'm sure his hockey playing skills have to be better then his acting abilities........

You won't get Kane for just Pomminstein, maybe for Vanek or Myers straight up Kane was a #1 overall pick and younger then Pomminstein, he has also been a better player in his short career then Pomminstein. A little slump he is in now will not have the 'Hawks trading him for just anyone

Thats what I figured, just wasn't 100% sure. I knew they had to pay the out the remainder of the contract. And someone would definitly claim him on re-entry waivers. Theres also a very good chance that a team with cap space would claim him on waivers just to take a chance on the whole "change of scenery" idea.

Sorry, meant to say the oilers might have to throw in a pick (Probably a 3rd or later) to sweeten the deal. If you are Edmonton, you are getting a player who has potential and may just need a change of scenery to get back his production from last year and they get to dump Hemsky. The advantage for the Sabres taking Hemsky back is that they get him for a few months to see if he can be a better replacement for Stafford and re-sign him this offseason, or they let him walk and save over $4mil in cap space for next season. If you send Drew down to the minors, you get nothing in return, still have to pay him out his contract, AND is there not still a partial cap hit they would face?

But they are getting a player that might just need a change of scenery and they can control for a few more seasons. Buffalo is helping them out by clearing cap space for a guy they would lose at the end of the year for nothing. Basically the Sabres are doing them a favour giving them stafford for Cap relief this offseason. If they truly want Stafford to upgrade their team, they may have to give up a pick and Hemsky to sweeten the deal for Buffalo. It may not be for a pick, but it gives them cap space this offseason for taking Hemsky til the end of the season. No one is saying Hemsky would be part of the rebuild

Atleast we know your sarcasim detector is functioning properly As for Hemsky, theres that chance that the change in scenery helps him, same thing the Oilers would be thinking about Stafford. The Sbres might have to sweeten the deal because Hemsky becomes a UFA at the end of the year so the deals basically a salary dump for the Sabres.

Stafford for Hemsky straight up, get'r done Darcy! Solves 2 problems, Sabres get rid of Stafford to a place where he has family and is possibly wanted, Edmonton gets rid of a player they are looking to deal It doesn't get Buffalo another C, but it does get Stafford out of here

Isn't that pretty close to Edmonton? This is my problem with trading these underachieving guys away, many of the buyers that might make a deal to try and get one fo these players are probably better teams that are gonna make the playoffs. I would really hate to see guys like Roy and Stafford get a pass and leave here, only to go on to better teams and play in the playoffs while the Sabres miss out. I would rather see them end up on worse teams with less chances for success. But I guess at the moment that might limit trading partners to the Blue Jackets only. Would they be interested in a Roy and Stafford for Nash deal?

New Face, same BS He looked good at first cause he seemed like he was out to take away dangerous hits, talking about how players still have to be responsible out there when making hits, yet here (when its time to discipline a Bruin)he is satisfied by the answer he gets from that player that he didn't mean to hit him

Couldn't this be said about any cheap shot into the boards too? "Its not player X's responsibility to protect player Y when he has his back turned and head down by the boards" it is everyones responsibility to protect all the players on the ice when they are out there. They are all human beings with lives and families outside the rink trying to make a living playing the game. You can't be out there trying to hit someone and end careers, unless you want someone else to do that to you.

He got close to Thomas, but as Jeanerett said, he just came back from 4 games off, unless he wants to be the new record holder for leagues longest suspension, he can't breathe on anyone too hard without risking it

But why? The Grad student was the one who actually witnessed the act. it becomes heresay from anyone else he tells because they can only go by what they are told by the grad student. my point is, where is the level where the person reporting it is no longer responsible once they report it to someone higher?

- The Grad student is getting the free pass because he reported it to Paterno. - Paterno has a Linch Mob after him because he reported it to his superior, who didn't do anything about it (allegedly) and he didn't follow up on it So why is no one going after this grad student for not doing more? If anything, the NCAA should be banning the entire program if its proved that the school covered up multiple occasions of this happening

Thats what happens when you put a mediocre product out there and spend the offseason trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the fans that you are truly trying to build a contender. This has worked in previous years, but it won't work forever, fans eventually get smarter and see through the bargain bin signings and get real tired of waiting for "the core" to grow up and develop into their "potential"

Why couldn't the Sabres have made the deal to bring him to buffalo? Oh yeah, thats right, Darcy regier, he was probably too busy working out an extension for Connolly or getting ready to go Dumpster diving for his big "FA splash"

If those couple off the posts were shots by the Sabres, these versus announcers would be going insane about how beautiful of a save it was by Thomas. Earlier they were going nuts (before the shot went off Sekera to save a goal) about the great save Thomas made on Vanek right in front, when it was just vanek shooting it off the logo on thomas' chest, even I've made those saves

One of my favorite bands I saw them last year in Toronto and even with Scott possibly having no idea where he was and going on really late (they opened for Linkin Park who apparently were having trouble coming to the event), they were still great I want to find the DVD of that VH1 Storeytellers they did, I love when they do their stuff acoustic

I really can't complain about much now Started work this week at a new job, I now work for a municipality Guess my biggest complaints are that you have to wait 2 weeks before unemployment will give you anything, so my 2 weeks between jobs, I got no pay, but now I am making more in take home pay then what i was being payed net at my last job. So yeah, things got better for me
