My thoughts exactly...so a high stick is only if it above your waist. So if a player is down on the ice to block a shot, you can just whack him across the face?? You still have to be in control of your stick..blatant penalty that goes uncalled against the Sabres...I don't care if the PP has been horrible, you still have total that penalty.
If its below the waist and draws blood call it slashing.

I think it’s pretty clear this team is done for another season. Time to make some moves, find some players with term and get them here. Move some of the assets. Change coaching staff. It’s beyond time to shake it up.
Sadly I don’t think KA is the guy to do it. I also doubt Terry has neither the brains or the cajones to do whats needed.

Joki didn’t have a couple more strides in him to cover his man?

Apparently Greenway hit his stick with his face.

I’ve gotten a thumbs down or an eye roll on nearly every critical post I’ve made of this team in this thread. In most threads of late. Hank follows me around doing it. NS does it. Others too. Times have changed. The ones that are ok with never being good have had it: I suppose they have a point - it’s not getting any better and if you aren’t good with the team as is, why bother being around? The reactions don’t bother me but honestly I keep coming back to the same thing:
I like the fans. If the fans would be happier around here just burying their faces in the sand I will honestly try to post less. I’m starting to feel kind of bad for telling the truth
Don’t feel bad. Lots o dudes around here don’t mind the losing. Some even see progress in a losing season. I see a team thats regressed , a gm thats mia and a coaching staff thats in over their heads. Some might say I’m wrong but thats what I see.

I team as pathetically managed as the Sabres should not be rewarded for its craptastic results. A team that goes out of its way to hire people with no experience in management and coaching should not be rewarded for its craptastic results. Rewarding an owner for all of the above should simply not happen in any professional league.

This franchise is a nightmare that never ends. Outside of a few seasons from the 80’s on, historically we’ve been a below average franchise devoid of superstars for a long time. We are the NYJets of hockey.
We are the Buffalo Sabres of hockey. Thats bad enough.

Let’s say they make it.. and obviously lose in the first round. Who would feel better about the season?
Me. And they’d get that monkey off their back. Get a taste of the show. Lose and learn from the experience. There’d be so many positive outcomes as a team and as individuals to have that experience.

Don’t dislike the players they are what they are. Dislike roster construction or lack thereof. Really starting to dislike KA for his roster construction. Dislike the patience aspect of KAs build. Dislike the fact that KA doesn’t see a need for experience. Hate, absolutely hate the don’t block the youngsters bullspit. Its garbage for development. Hey I’ve got an idea, why don’t they learn how to earn it like every other team in sports ?
I misunderstood the question to a degree and my rant kind of went off the rails. Sorry P.A., but I won’t go back on what I said.😉Its how I feel. As to teams that I dislike the most it is recent therefore easier to remember but it would have to be Kruegers team. I was embarassed for the org. That they’d even go there on the hire and he made it very difficult on the fans and players alike.

I agree with all of this.
I also could not be more proud of my brother, who won his 4th Grammy yesterday.
Wow thats cool. Congrats to your bro.

Man do the Grammies ever suck. I rarely watch and if I do scroll past its inevitably the swift cam on Taylor in the audience or like last nights ***** show it was the Oprah cam focusing on oprah in the audience every couple of minutes. Reminds me why I hate this show. That and the fact I’ve never heard of the people winning all these awards but they did finally give Joni Mitchel a grammy for the first time ever. I wonder what she thinks when she sees Swift win 14 every year ?

That’s pretty much it. This team is 4-5 years away from being a serious NHL team anyways. Let’s be honest.
They’re always 4-5 years away from being a serious NHL team. Every friggin year.

Well the teams worse than it was before the break so no, I’m not looking forward to seeing them. You can’t discount what effect losing the mule and Quinn mean to this squad.

At this point I loathe all-star events (I won't even call them games).
Yeah never watched one moment of that . It really sucks. And the fact they stretched it out over 3 days makes it worse imho.

It was reported that McLellan was interviewed before the Krueger hire (along with Dave Tippett) and it was written that he told Pegula that Pegula's reputation around the league was as a man who lacked patience. Somewhat interestingly, today the fan base largely thinks Pegula is being too patient.

I’ve lost faith in KA. I suppose you could throw Donny G into that as well although this is more about the GM. Not sure he feels any pressure to get better. Seems content to wait for inner growth which may or may not come. Lots could have been accomplished this past offseason by simply throwing out the mantra of not blocking the youth and bringing in one or two vets to help get the kids through their growing pains. I’m positive the playoffs never entered his mind until he was questioned about expectations. If he truly believed this team was ready he might have done more. Big fail in my estimation.
