Not really, like in any sport fans often cheer for random teams that they have no real connection to. Like me, Canadian, Sabres fan for over 50 years now.
You and I both. Most of my Canadian pals have U.S. based teams as faves.

That hit on #24 by big Z could have easily been called crosschecking. I could be wrong. Need a replay.

Note to Fans in Attendance:
Hockey is emotion. This team must dread home games because of the continuous booing, which is really embarrassing to the home team and gives the visitor the edge. I know it's been a looonnnng twelve years (and Pegula sucks!) but I ask the fans to try to forget the bad history and to not to be so quick to boo the team. They are young and fragile and need the crowd behind them. Not to be continually kicked in the ass. Otherwise , bad plays cause booing and booing causes bad plays, over and over again. The next thing you know, it's another loss. So rally behind them if at all possible. Booing only gets them down and makes them play uptight and worse.
Its not the fans fault they lose. They know how to get the fans behind them.

Won’t be long before the fans quit on the Sabres…
Perhaps that is what it will take for Pegula to act like he cares.
The people should stay away. Money is the only language TP knows.

Anything less than making the playoffs would be unacceptable. I understand that it's highly unlikely, at this point, that the Sabres will get in.
There should no leg to stand on if you missed the playoffs by one single win last year. The team is essentially the same, with minor upgrades. There is no excuse
I remain hopeful, however. Keep the winning streak going. A lot can change in just a few weeks time
Winning streak ? Lol

I think this team are all questioning this coaching staff. Quietly. They’ve lost confidence in the system(whatever it is) as well as their own abilities. Hard to believe after the season they had previously but an athletes confidence is a fickle thing. Tage was a monster last season. He’s not the same player by a country mile. Can’t remember the last time a play or move or shot by him took me out of my seat.

Why? Do you really think your going to get any honest, truthful answers and not just the usual business speak about how they see progress and things about to change for the best?
Yeah I know. Things don’t work like that. But for all I know he’s in Hanoi wrestling in spaghetti. I’d like to know if he feels our pain or doesn’t give a flying $&@%.

Nolan was pretty much brought in to appease the fan base by bringing back a fan favorite to try an make a rebuild/tank palitable to everyone.
Bylsma was highly overrated as he was given a cup team in Pittsburgh that was stacked and din't really need a good coach to get them a championship.
The rest have been inexperienced possible 'up & comers' who would come cheap trying to make their name as a head coach, or guys already familiar with the team and given a chance to show what they have as a head coach.
Some might not have been bad choices, if they weren't also using the same method of hiring the GM. If they want a rookie HC, they should have paired them with a more experienced GM, or a rookie GM with a more experience HC. Letting 2 inexperienced rookies run the team as HC & GM isn't usually a receipe for success
There appears to be a level of arrogance to how TP runs this club. He makes decisions like he knows better than all the experienced guys working in this league. All he needs to do is watch the clubs that have consistant success year in and year out. He ignores all that and hires people with no experience.

Halfway there and they’re done like dinner. I really wish KA would make himself available to the media on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Answer a few questions. Tell us how he feels things are progressing. Pipe dream ? Whatevs. The transparency would be nice.

Starting to believe KA is just happy to collect high picks. Give him a decade or so and he might round into a decent gm. But at this rate he seems content to tread water. I doubt he carves out a long career as one. Who knows ?

There's a very good chance Donnie will be one of the 5 longest tenured coaches in the league next season. At this point all you can do is laugh.
There’s no accountibility from the owner down.

Looks like the team has no confidence. No confidence in the ‘ plan ‘ and they look clueless most of the time on a personal level. Everybody. Last season they had an overabundance of confidence. Kind of how Vancouver goes into games this season. They actually remind me of how the team looked under Ralph. Ralph got canned and rightfully so. Maybe Don should give his old bud a call and ask for some advise ? Anyhow another limp bisquit out of the boys on home ice. The teams coming in this week will feast on this lot.

This team doesn’t have what it takes to make the playoffs. KA might as well do a reset. Trade deadline is 2 months away. Make a substantial trade Mr. Adams. Give us hope. Prove to the fanbase you have a clue in team building.
