JBott and Ralph are currently scouring the league for more smallish soft players.

Ralphs mismanagement of Skinnys skillset is crazy. The leafs coach has no problem throwing Tavares, marner and mathews out for a power trio . Ralph won’t budge which is either arrogance or a coaching weakness. Ralph knows better I suppose.

They’re obviously outmatched. We’re carrying so much deadweight. Maybe he can help them play above themselves but I don’t expect it. I’m seeing too many guys coast into our zone while the leafs put on a clinic .

Time for the old Ralphy pep talk. Git er done.

5 on 5 we are overmatched. Leafs seem to use their speed and we look blah. Lots of deadweight on the team.

Quantity over quality ?

They ‘ve finally come to their senses and put him in a position to succeed.

After years of ineptitude from this franchise I kind of feel the same. A playoff berth is the measure of success I’m looking for. Another year on the outside is one more kick in the groin for the fans. I realize I’d better rummage around for my old jockstrap from my playing days if I want to avoid any bruising but its time this franchise set the bar a little higher.

Looking at his history and his stats this season I wouldn’t overlook his talent. Here’s to hoping he comes as advertised. Size, scoring ability and will to win.

Being in Toronto certainly helps Mathews gain recognition and helps with his self promotion. The league, media and fans are slowly coming to the realization we all have. Jack is a star.

On that last angle it looked bad. Not sure that was the intent. Highly doubt it.
