If he keeps getting traded, his final team will only owe him enough to get a coffee and a donut at Timmy Ho's.

I’m fairly certain there’s an injunction somewhere requiring him to stay at least 500 meters away from any and all Timmy Ho’s location, given past events…

People seem to be ignoring that since UPL got some early call-up yips out of the way, this is exactly what he has done.

The league average save % is .906 right now. Since mid-December, UPL's save % is .910.

I agree with @PromoTheRobot that UPL has been fine.

It would be nice to have better.

I don't agree.  If the Sabres played tight defense, I would.

He’s still sub-900 on the season and there’s a lot of season left for him to pull that down further, which he very well might do considering his historical numbers.  Defense notwithstanding I don’t trust him.

I like this format because it's similar to what I grew up with.

Also, think of how much better the Sabres would have fared with first round matchups against the Habs in 2010 and again in 2011.

Yeah, I get the Prince of Wales of it all, but there aren’t 16 teams anymore.  Add that that the lopsided nature of the current conferences/divisions and it’s just, like…. Bleh.

The only hope the premier league has of remaining a going concern in the next few years is relegating Man City straight down the the National League ASAP and sending a copy of the decision to Chelsea, Newcastle, and now ManU with the good parts highlighted.

Otherwise, the entire exercise will be a pointless sports washing exercise for petro-fascist regimes and we’ll all welcome the closed-shop Euro league with open arms.

  5. I'm currently navigating the shark-infested Machiavellian dystopian hell-dimension that is 12U travel softball (as a parent, anyway)

If the entire point of the exercise is to have these kids learn about working hard to achieve things, dealing with adversity, and social development / teamwork as is my understanding, then maybe let the kids do the things.  It's frightening the extent to which parents are apparently forgetting this in favor of vicarious success.  I feel sorry for a lot of these kids.  Parents putting pressure on coaches/clubs, yanking kids out of teams and onto others believing there's an advantage to be had regardless of the fact that we're dealing with 11 year old girls here and they are not agents for pro athletes... it's constantly amazing.

I know Casey is the current whipping boy, and I know that he still has some pretty big development needs, but he is pretty good on the boards and makes more happen than some are willing to admit.

He’s about to turn 25.  If he was going to figure it out he’d have figured it out.

Mitts has somehow personified the Peter Principle and the Sunk cost Fallacy in one dude.  Which I suppose can only happen in pro sports (over here with our salary caps and mandated parity).

Happy to be proven wrong.  Don’t think I will be.

He has been downright good at times the last few weeks. He’s really cut down on the the turnovers.

Did you watch this game tonight?
