Periodic reminder that Ehrhoff was worth every dime of that contract and it would never have been an issue had the league not moved to explicitly screw Darcy over (ex post facto) for his hilarious accounting, which was absolutely within the letter, if not the spirit, of the CBA at the time of signing.
If it gets grandfathered in to the next CBA, he gets traded for a decent return to one of any number of teams who would have been all over it once the team imploded and we'd never think about it again.

Neil deGrasse Tyson recently did a Star Talk explainer about how bread doesn't become toast until it reaches a certain temperature and then the browning occurs quickly. This explains most burnt toast down through history, including the burnt toast that infuriated Hitler so much he decided to invade Poland.
Larry David taught us that you can't pause toast.
That obv. brings us to our beloved Buffalo Sabres.

I recently hired a Bruins fan. Dude’s from Maine so I suppose I should have asked in the interview, totally an oversight on my part. Needless to say, once it came up I informed him that his schedule was about to get very, very nights and weekends focused (jokingly, oof course… or was it?).
He’s smug now, but his uppance shall come.

I didn't read the entire thread so I'm not sure if this was brought up but....Power's ice time. I think it was over 27 minutes. More than Dahlin even.
I know they want him to develop and he is playing well for a rookie, but at some point is it too much? From a fatigue/injury standpoint anyway? A lot of first pair guys who are pushing hard on a team in the playoffs get less minutes than that, I'm just wondering what the reason is for so much ice time for him. I don't think his development suffers if he is around the 22 minute mark.
Hopefully this issue resolves itself next year.

No matter what happens, the most important thing is that they have fun out there.

Screw it, put the kid back in.
Anderson’s still injured (Maybe? I dunno what the status is on that). Comrie and UPL are a risky proposition at best.
Not much to lose, might rally the boys, toss him the the wolv… er…. Cats.

Aaaaand, this is probably the last game this season I make an effort to watch.
Not gonna lie, I feel pretty good about where they are over the course of the season. It’s the last two months they are killing me.
We’ll see what delights KA has in store for us by October.

Oh, ***** you Dach. Nice dive and pretend injury.
I hope he slips on a banana peel into a conveyor belt that leads to a furnace where he’s burned alive.

What? This is a terrible take.
Military, police, firefighters, first responders. They are all hard jobs, extremely necessary, and unfortunately they receive a relatively low pay. What is wrong with recognition for these folks?
That's not what I'm saying.
The military spends a ton of money to promote these things, which is why they happen more or less constantly. Others... not so much.

Well, military appreciation happens every game, why not more than one for appreciating other folks?
Because other folks aren't able to access the Pentagon's PR budget.

At 34 he still has a lot to offer. He took much abuse for plain old BS from fans. Dude has Turkish heritage and is a practicing Muslim for Pete's sake. Of course, he will be a supporter of Turkey. I love Turkey (the country) too and I don't get that kind of abuse.
As an Arsenal fan I love Mesut. Could have been an all-time great. Sad the way he fizzled out, but he clearly just stopped caring after the Germany World cup debacle.
Sad.
