Why did they get rid of the 40th anniversary thirds? Beautiful, well imagined, historical, cool numbers and name plates. The turdburger is hands down the worst, worse than the slug even. We did look bad ass in the black goat heads.

In spite of what the coaches and players are saying, the unconscious motivation is still the tank. The front office wants them to lose (secretly of course) and much of the fan base is hoping for McEichel. They are not supposed to be any good and the team is aware of that. It does not excuse things from the players/coach perspective but it is having an effect. Let's wait to judge Nolan after this season.

I love the idea of the canal song! I've also had the thought that the song "Fallen Leaves" by Billy Talent would be a great song to rub in Toronto's face after each Sabres victory. "In a crooked little town, they were lost but never found Fallen leaves, fallen leaves, fallen leaves on the ground." I can just hear the crowd singing along and changing "leaves" to "Leafs." Might be a stretch as the song is not very mainstream.
