  1. Y'all have spent the last 2+ pages griping about our politicians and how you could have done it better, and that's exactly what they wanted. They thank you.
  2. I agree. Along with it's liilte brother the 'scare tactic'. I'm not hoping this storm causes as much havoc as they say..... but if it doesn't people are going to start not taking the media seriously any more and eventually it will backfire. Their reputations rely on the severity of this storm..... not that our MSM had much of one left to begin with haha.
  3. Haha, that sounds like a plan! Not gonna miss any games.
  4. Yup. I'm not saying it's not going to bring in a bunch of bad weather, but these things get more and more overhyped. Of course people should be prepared, the two storms colliding could be bad. But Sandy, which is just SE of me right now, isn't going to be very strong when it gets up there. I think it's going to be widespread precipitation and some severe weather in places, but when it's al said and done it's just going to be another Irene. Y'all up in the northeast are no stranger to bad weather in the winter. Just be prepared and be smart. I'm used to all the sensationalism down here. Big storms are no big deal to anybody here yet the news channels love to make it seem like the end of the world. When Isaac went by us, we had 15" of rain...... and went out to dinner that night, and the restaurants were busy. One of these days we really will be in a serious situation down here and nobody will take the media seriously any more.
  5. Hindsight sure is convenient after the fact, isn't it?
  6. Take away the SF game and BFLO has scored 28, 28 and 34 points in losses. Like Eleven said, it's not their problem they need more in order to win a game. Did mistakes prevenet them from winning? Sure. But if the offense didn't look really good before the last drive the game would have been over after the 1st quarter. Right now the offense is the last thing I'd be worried about. The offense more than did it's part. In fact you can't ask for a much better game. Edit: Nevermind, I can see most of this has been covered already. NHL is done for this year, the Bills aren't going to make the playoffs for the 13th consecutive year, NASCAR sucks, free agency ruined baseball.......... I need to give up on sports and find another way to occupy my time.
  7. When your defense has been in the bottom 5 in points per game allowed for the last 3 years, I will hesitate to put any blame on the offense. This defense is the joke of the NFL. This season is done. The Bills are the poster child of futility in the NFL. Until they officially make the playoffs I am no longer going to get my hopes up (not that I ever really did). At least they've given up early so I don't have to worry about learning their jersey numbers.
  8. Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic! Somebody needs to lose their job(s) immediately!!!!!!!
  9. Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie Any existing deal in excess of 5 yrs would carry cap hit in every year of contract, even if player were to retire with year(s) left. Vancouver should have dumped Luongo while they had the chance.
  10. Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie On trading of cap space/retaining salary, it would be limited to $3M for each contract year left or 50 per cent of AAV, whichever is less Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie Each club, in any given year, tho, would be subject to a 2 contract and/or $5M limit in terms of retaining salary. I assume the second would only apply to teams looking to rebuild. This retaining salary will only through another factor into the equation; make it even more difficult when determining what you can and can't afford. Like the past CBA, it'll take teams a couple of seasons to figure out how to abuse the system. I could be wrong about all this, just my impression..... Not sure how retaining salaries plays into all this... if at all.
  11. Pierre LeBrun ‏@Real_ESPNLeBrun More on NHL offer: calls for 2012-13 salary cap of $59.9 million but teams can go over up to $70.2 million in Year 1 as part of transition I can see this affecting the Sabres in a bad way. I hope this doesn't stand. Not just for BFLO, but it's just not fair for teams that have been planning ahead based on the previous cap.
  12. Haha, that's not my game. EA Sports is simulating a season day by day and BFLO got off to a good start. Click the link under the score.
  13. Leino getting off to a nice start. WOOHOO! http://www.easports.com/nhl/news/article/season-sim-week-1
  14. Is Tarnasky waived, or is he just clearing waivers so he can be sent down to Rochester?
  15. He must really be a dedicated Coyote because I bet there were at least 10 teams knocking at the $30 million door he thought he was worth.
  16. Because they want to use the argument that the government is forcing them to do something. They want to have the "right" to purchase health insurance. They don't want to have to pay for somebody elses health insurance. Here's how I see this...... right now I have my own coverage and it has goen up over 150% on the last 3 years. I have yet to use it once in that period. Why has it gone up? Because people who "choose" to not have their own policy end up going to the emergency room for a life threatening situation and end up in intensive care for a month and rack up a $750,000 hospital bill. They can't pay so the hospital passes the expenses on to me when I go to the hospital in the form of a $75 aspirin, $150 jello, $1,200/day room, etc. In turn my rates go up. So basically, aren't I pay for everybody else anyways? The more rates go up, the less people are covered. It's a vicious cycle until only the richest people in the country would be able to afford insurance. The rest will go bankrupt if they ever need emergency care. I love the "freedom" argument...... people should be able to "choose" whether or not they have insurance. Those same people will tell you that insurance companies and hospitals are businesses. Well, guess what happens if an uninsured person gets into a life-threatening car accident and is transported to the hospital, the hospital is FORCED to treat them whether or not they have insurance. In the rest of the real world, this IS NOT how businesses work. If I go into Best Buy and pick out a 60" big screen and tell them I don't have money to pay for it, are they going to give me the TV? NO! I'm getting sick of my rates going up to cover for people who need emergency care because they feel it's their "right" to choose to not carry insurance. The hypocritical conservatives love to think it's a liberal agenda to make us pay for everybody else, yet indirectly I am paying for those hypocritical conservatives who choose not to have insurance. Until hospitals have the freedom to choose not to give you emergency care, nobody has the right to think I should have to pay for you because you choose not to have coverage. Until then, bring my rates back down to where they were 3 years ago and tax me instead. If the people want the government to treat hospitals and insurance companies like a business, let the hospitals turn you away if you have no coverage. It's that simple....... just like a real business. Sorry Hank, that wasn't all directed at you. :P FWIW, I am a fiscal conservative.
  17. I think.................... you're all putting WAYYYYYYYY too much into one game.
  18. Actually, Fitz came back to have a pretty decent game in my opinion. Too bad too many things went wrong in a short amount of time to start the game. Let's just hope it's first game cobwebs.
  19. Yeah, I need the stream, I live in SoFL so I can't get WGR. I think this all answers my questions. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't me. That would explain why I couldn't get WGR on my phone at the bar too. I understand the need to make money, but the more they keep limiting how much the fans can keep up with their team the less interested they're going to be.
  20. Was that on the radio, or streaming?
  21. Thanks. Must be a new rule, 97 Rock did it last year. I didn't get the rest of the game either. Left the sports bar after the 3rd quarter. Seems it gets worse and worse every year. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  22. Thanks. Need to find an audio feed, if not for today (I'm sure it's done) but for the upcoming games. Not sure if WGR streaming is down or if it's just me. WJAG isn't getting it either?
  23. And the post game show woulld be on..................
  24. OK couple of questions. Since 97 Rock isn't carrying the radio feed, who is? And who broadcasts the post game interviews and press conferences? WGR online is down, I'm not getting anything from WGR. Don't even know if they carry anything. I'm just listening to 97 Rock and all they're doing is taking phone calls.
