1. His first rebuild was nowhere near this scale. 2. His first rebuild was on a leash. I would expect another home to be much better quality when the builder is allowed to do as he pleases to make it right no matter the cost. But, we've been over this several times.

I'd like to see how draft classes actually panned out over the years in comparison to what was projected. I don't think many 1st rounds are going to vary greatly, especially when you're loaded with picks. Pittsburgh was a fluke.

Good post. I'm devastated to see Vanek go. But considering the circumstances I think he made out well. Even better if they keep Moulson OR manage a 1st+ at the deadline.

Seriously, how can anybody actually predict if a draft class will be weak or not this far in advance? How in the hell is a GM supposed to rebuild AND wait around for a draft class that suits him? Man, seriously grasping at straws.

I don't think his value was higher in the off-season. Teams like Florida and Edmonton are finding out that they need help now. There are already teams dealing with injured goaltenders, some will need one for the playoffs and won't be willing to risk it.

Miller needs to be moved NOW. It's obvious now that Darcy is in full rebuild mode. If all the new kids are getting their chance to play, Enroth should be given starting time moving forward. With Miller around, they're obligated to play him. skip skip skip skip skip

Ott, Miller and Vanek are all pending UFA's. There are four teenagers living a dream. There is a sophomore coach entering his first year of official coach status. Anybody that thinks this team is tanking on purpose is absolutely insane.

Wingel did not have possession of the puck (much more time between the pass and the hit than Scott's hit) and Chara's arms were clearly at head level. Let's not even mention the countless times throughout his career that he has gotten away with illegal hits. We're just going to have to agree to disagree.
