easier to make the playoffs in the nhl though
Seems more complicated from a new ownership standpoint vs NFL IMO. Talent in coming from other countries. Good coaching and management really hard to find. It does to me anyway. If I was a new owner and all I had working for me is I love the game of hockey. Russ Brandon whispering sweet nothings into my ear.

My goodness our roster is scary bad. It amazes me after 10 straight playoff-less seasons we draft this atrociously.
The Bills went much longer, but you know what , the one right hire changed the culture.
Pegula's did it once and they will do it again. Who knows.
Perhaps they already have...

Hall seemed to be more motivated last night. I say play him and see where it goes. Taking a puck to the face the other night seemed to wake him up there for a minute. Feeling the frustrations Hall needs to unleash them onto the oppositions goaltender.
Perhaps the spark plug just needs a spark...

Mentally is probably the operative word. If you're on an 18-game winning streak, are you as exhausted? Compare nine hours at an amusement park and nine hours stuck in an unpleasant relatives' home.
Under the circumstances it takes an instant show/sign of respect and confidence in what the man thats standing in front of you is trying to convey to turn things around so quickly. Its the kind of thing that doesn't come easily IMO. Not under these circumstances. I really like our Buffalo Sabres Hockey team. Fun to watch when they play as a team. I really like our new HC. The team has grit and showing good character in my humble opinion. Did I mention good Goaltending.
Who are these guys?

3 of a possible 4 point ... freakin' awesome.
That's my perspective.
The Buffalo Sabres Hockey team is exhausted.
Out skilled and over worked yet still, they fought like mad men overlooking the gates of Valhalla.
They come from the lands of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow
Thats my perspective...

I honestly don't see how you guys can microanalyze what happens in three on three hockey. It ain't hockey.
I think 3 on 3' s awesome. The game becomes a high energy boxing match. The emphasis on basic fundamentals becomes magnified.
One wrong move, KO
See ya!!!

What did everyone expect to happen with that group out there?
Reinhart, Olofsson, and Dahlin are a combind -74 in just 35 games... smh. They simply can't defend, always on the wrong side of the puck, can't win battles, cheat on plays, etc... I mean, it's kinda dumb to put them out there as a unit.
Its a good point and just asking for it 3 on 3

One has to wonder If Jack might be watching these games and thinking, wow, this sure looks better, and bet I could have made the difference between 4 and 6 points.

What did he do when he didn’t get the puck back?
Its looks to me he still thought Olofson was going to poke the puck through, I don't know, it was pretty bang, bang, it is something that should be talkied about between players and coaches for sure. 3 on 3s a different beast. One mistake and its all over.

I am in Buffalo and missed the game. Just running around visiting. Sounds like they did good just to get a point. I’ll take it.
The Rangers are hot, we are in back to back. Granato doing well without Eichel and Cozens.
It was a spirited game. Sabres were really slamming there bodies around with bad intentions the first half of it , but started running out of gas. Confidence in goaltending is growing and confidence in themselves and as a team is growing. As a Sabre fan and big homer it is a wonderful thing to see. You have to give most of the credit to coaching because the transformation in such a short time has been amazing in my humble opinion.

Not only did Reinhart put him in a jam, but how long does it take him to realize that VO was battling along the boards and he was the player furthest away from the play before he moved? He was just standing there. Watching.
Looks like Reinhart expected to get the puck tapped back in deep to him along the boards and it got Ofed to me SDS

Someone may prove me wrong, but I cannot recall seeing a truly weak goal that Toker has let in. Seems like he's making the saves he should be and maybe a few that we would not expect him to.
We might be on to something here for backup goaltender

I'm hurting from the loss but I'm so proud that this team was able to tie it up and take it to overtime.
Sabres players were running out of gas yet showed some grit and determination to pull off a tie. Wish we could have went into a shootout. I had a feeling If we could Sabres would win.

Would like to watch a replay of the sequence.
Honestly shocked we didn't lose outright. We didn't play that well.
Our goalie sure did and from our backup it was really good to see.

Still, looking better overall. Crumbly, bumbly 2nd and 3rd, but got a point. Let's make a heroic charge to 8th (in our division) down the stretch. Close the gap in points, at least. We didn't just completely fold -- and that's the de-Kruegering that needs to happen.
Looking better for sure, nice save Dahlin

I'll take the point
Nice game Trobarski, we might have found our backup

this! the guy tried to gut it out with injured ribs. He wasn't close to the player we've seen.
I think, if it was detailed exactly what he was going through in order suit up this season, there wouldn't be any of the questioning of his "leadership" or "competitiveness"
My questioning Jacks leadership abilities relates more to the long term Sabre woes since he became a Buffalo Sabre. The spurts of good stretches followed with bad. Never reaching the playoffs. As leader of a hockey team its up to Jack to help keep the players grounded and on an even keel IMO.
By no means am I saying all the Buffalo Sabres problems are Jacks fault. What I am saying is he hasn't helped from a leadership standpoint in my humble opinion.

No way this team is the worst in the league

You must admit the Sabres looked like the better hockey team tonight against a good NYR team. Really in sync through most of the game. Its almost like a light bulb got switched on in their heads.
They skate now like a team thats not looking back.
