I have no idea why that was sent to me, as Jack is my favorite player, and I believe he is the "franchise"

    Same here.

Unlike many of you I'm not a life long hockey/Sabre fan and got hooked in the Hasek era. If its one thing I've learned about hockey, without sufficient goaltending its all for not. The better the goaltending, the better your chance of success. I realize much more goes into the success of a hockey team then good goaltending. On the other hand its practically impossible to succeed without it IMO. I'm sure most would agree. I believe If Buffalo had not lost Ullmark for a long duration the Buffalo Sabres had ample time to right the ship. At this point Hutton in net is a team let down before the game begins IMO.

Without Jack the entertainment level of the Buffalo Sabres hits rock bottom IMO.

He won my heart over when he pointed to a picture of Old Jack Eichel at the Anchor Bar in one of those Blue and Gold deals.

All joking aside, I'm still a big fan of Jack Eichel and could sure understand why Eichel might wish to be part of something bigger and better then he's a part of now. A little success to show for all the hard work.

its not to much to ask for is it...

I certainly hope the team is prepared to bring in a new coach before trading Eichel!

You definitely try a new HC before you trade the franchise.

The only reason Ralph is here in the first place is to appease Eichel, bring out the best in him, get him psychologically going in the right direction...

If that is not working, it's time to hire Boudreau or Gallant and see how that goes for a while.

    I agree,

Something else to consider. Good players don't always translate into good leaders.

Keep your best player and try removing the C...

I'm a minimalist with a less than delusionary expectation to be great. What I'm looking for is to steadily get better and move up the ranks.

My theory why the Sabres for the past recent years have started off like of ball of fire and then predictably flamed out is that the roster was thin to begin with not having much margin of error to work with. As the season would advance and the rigors of it took its toll from injuries and players not playing to expectation there wasn't a reservoir of talent to draw from. Hopefully, the difference this season is that the talent base has increased and credible replacements are more available.

I like how you think JohnC

All I am saying with my responses toward you is that I don't understand why your perception of this year's team is so negative at this point. If the team was playing as they did in the first game I would understand such negativity. But in general their play since the inaugural game has been solid against good teams. You can have whatever view you want. We all have our views and interpretation of how this team is playing.

Sabres have gotten off to some decent starts in recent years just to peter out half, 3 quarters of the way through the season. Perhaps a gradual build up from start to finish could be just what the doctor ordered.

Say doctor, Is there something I can take!

Say doctor, to make the Sabres great!

    Got through my ‘procedure’ .

Then on Monday I slammed my foot into my bedpost, broke my pinky toe. Got a nice purple bruise over 1/3 of my foot. FML

Hate them sneaky bed posts. Never actually broke a toe I don't think, but has sure felt like it a few times.

Can someone please invent a good bed post padding.

    What does this mean?

Everything we are doing now, the social distancing, washing our hands, protecting ourselves as much as possible from someone elses sneeze or cough, also helps protect us from the common cold or flu.

Stop making ventilators and make something to sterilize masks.

If everyone in the US had an N95 mask to sterilize we wouldn't need all the ventilators and the next time around this wouldn't happen. This is a new market that can create jobs. Help get our economy back on track. Upgrades in hepa filters to catch smaller particles. Coming up with new ways to protect the air that we breath.

Another invisible enemy can attack us at any time. It might come with a different name and have a whole new degree of stealth and wider range of dispersion.

The flu alone kills tens of thousands every year.

We can do better then this...
