And they’re doing it without PK
-
My prized Sabres memorabilia was a black and white 8 x 10 photo of Gilbert Perreault that he personally autographed for me. I had knocked on his house door on ranch trail about 1974. He was very friendly even with the doorbell ringing nonstop He was living with Gerry Desjardins at the time. They took turns answering the door and giving autographs to all the neighborhood kids.
Unfortunately this irreplaceable item was stolen from me by our moderator N Freeman many years ago and I may have to visit NYC to take back my prized possession

Tage Thompson does not belong in the NHL at this time. Rodriguez is a much better player

Signing Pomminstein would be a colossal mistake. We can put anyone on a line with Jack and Skinny and they will get points. Younger cheaper faster or if you want old and slow put okposo there since we’re stuck with him. There are youngsters in Rochester that need a look.

If they get Weber healthy and Price stays healthy and Mete develops they could make the playoffs

It won't last. They're a Price injury away from being awful again, and Tatar is at a pace he won't sustain
Kotkaniemi is a stud and Tatar, Drouin, and Domi have played very well. They have some young talent.

Bergevin has really done a great job recently. Clearly hes made some boneheaded moves in the past but the Habs look fast and young and are playing great hockey. What a turn a round.

I think the expectations for Dahlin have been completely unrealistic. There hasn't been an 18 year old impactful defenseman since Bobby Orr.

Random prediction: Marchand cheap-shots Dahlin and someone we wouldn’t normally think of for this comes flying in for immediate retribution.
Agreed and that retribution will come from Tage Thompson in a big way.

IMHO, Buffalo has excellent pizza, and far superior to Chicago (which is gross), although not as good as NYC.
Discuss.
This is an ignorant opinion from someone who has undoubtedly spent very little time in Chicago and has not had Giordanos or Lou Malnattis pizza. Also it reflects the NYC snobbery where only the best can be in Manhattan or Brooklyn an nothing else compares.

1. I wish Sully and Bucky were still around to comment on this epic disaster of a trade.
2. Once Sabres are eliminated from playoffs by Thanksgiving, the call to fire Housley will be overwhelming
3. The thing about being a sabres fan is that its always important to scout who will be top players at next; years draft..I'm excited for Jack Hughes

Okposo was 28 when his contract started. Kane will be 27 when his next contract begins.
Kyle played 9 full seasons before inking his contract with Buffalo. This is Kane's 9th season, so they're also equivalent there. The difference?
Okposo has scored 156 goals and 253 assists for 409 points in 585 games (0.699 PPG)
Kane has scored 177 goals and 163 assists for 340 points in 557 games (0.610 PPG)
Yes but Kane has played on terrible teams and never had John Tavares on his line.
-
In hindsight signing Okposo was a huge mistake. That money could have gone toward resigning Kane who is a much better and younger player.
-
I’m really gonna miss Kane. He was exciting and tough and always gave 110 percent. He was our best or second best player and I hope we resign him in free agency
-
According to Ecklund, Sabres very interested in Tyson Barrie.

Pysyk gets a hat trick just to add to the misery
-
Bogo is untradeable and we will be lucky to get a 2nd for Lehner I doubt KO is tradeable either
-
Abso-freakin'-lutely.
For the record: it's a terrible strategy.
Disagree on the tank strategy. It got us an elite player in Eichel but Murray made too many mistakes with all the capital. We could have been much farther along had we drafted Sergachev and Drasital instead of Nylander and Reinhart. Wasting a first round on Lehner was also absurd.
-
No excuse for power play going from first to worst. Phil and assistants are much too inexperienced and way over their heads. Hopefully a coaching change occurs at end of season. This team is much worse than when Bylesma was coach.

11's reporting on ROR is quite interesting, and jibes with the theory that the Sabres will need to unload at least one of ROR, Reino and KO in order to get faster.
Trading ROR would also open up significant cap space for taking a shot at Tavares, a good defenseman or some other piece, and would presumably help rebuild the prospects pipeline.
He's a good player, but I'm fine with moving him.
I think the strategy is to unload all 3 to try to get faster and use the cap savings to resign Kane after we trade him for a number 1 and a top prospect. I'm not sure anyone wants KO with his contract.
-
He was overdrafted because of his last name. GMTM made the same mistake with Reinhart. They are both too unphysical to excel in NHL hockey
-
Mel Kiper has Lamar Jackson rated as his 7th best QB. That's not good enough for me. Don't start bashing Mel, had the bills followed his rankings we would have drafted much better over the past 15 years.
-
Lamar Jackson is the next Tyrod Taylor. He is the worst possible outcome of the draft. His skill set is remarkably similar to Tyrods as are his flaws..
-
Fire Housley now. He is in way over his head. They need to hire an experienced head coach and bring in new assistants. I am sure Botterill is panicking. I have never seen an NHL team give up like this

Do we have anyone who can score even strength goals when they are not on Jacks wing? This includes Skinner and Samson.
