  1. Fair enough, but that still means he wasn't an asset. At least to us anyway.
  2. The way I understand that, is that part of those offers meant he would've had to take bad contracts in return, and for whatever reason, decided the particular players involved in said deals weren't someone he wanted here. If a player requires bad contracts coming the other way in order to move him, then - by my understanding of it - he's not an "asset". He's just a bad contract being unloaded for another bad contract. Others may disagree, but that's how I perceive an asset.
  3. First of all, it should be clear to anyone now - This team HAD no assets left. Pure and simple. Anyone remotely worth anything went at the deadline. If there were any takers for Ehrhoff whatsoever, don't you think he would've been gone then? Getting an expensive d-man, who doesn't want to be part of a rebuild, and comes with an imminent threat of a cap penalty, both off the books and off the roster is not mismanaging an "asset", it's handling a cluster###### you didn't create, but have been given the task to clean up after.
  4. In other words, anti-Darcy has arrived, and I am more than ready for a few years of no BS, no slacking off, and NO free ###### rides....!
  5. I heard they partied like nuts after both cup wins. Just a rumour though....
  6. Translation : "You have the gall to bitch about the team sucking, while not doing a damn thing to change that yourself, while making millions of dollars - Get the ###### out of my sight!"
  7. Bad link? Top one.
  8. Wouldn't that be "Murray might have to call some team and ask for a bad contract because of this"?
  9. No. 14? A retired no.? What did I miss?
  10. This. Nobody should be judged on the past season alone. Except Leino, but only cause the past season was exactly what we expected from him.
  11. Cap hit or not, keeping Leino around just sends the wrong message to the youngsters, which is the last thing we want to do now.
  12. That's a a stretch - I clearly see him as "alright".
  13. Are we bringing Regier back too, cause he was the mastermind of this concept.
  14. Why is he still here??!?!??!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Derserved win for the Kings, but despite what I might've thought of the Rags before this series - They sure as ###### made a series of it! 3 OT losses doesn't really say "4-1 series win". This thing should've gone to 6, and could easily have gone to 7.
  16. I ask Darcy Regier, cause clearly - This guy *knows* hockey.....!! :w00t:
  17. I like Regehr, but unless someone else is banged up worse than he, why play him? It's not like they're missing him, it seems?
  18. Honestly, if the NHL would just be a little less inconsistent and bush-league in the way they officiate the game, and discipline it's players and coaches, this debate never takes place.
  19. Has anyone seen Rick Nash lately? Are we talking "Rick Nashin", or is he perhaps playing hurt?
  20. Rangers could've put it away in OT as well. The trend in the finals so far : Rangers lose their finish as games wear on - LA gets sharper. My guess is they're an extremely well-conditioned team. You know, kinda like the anti-Sabres.
  21. I've seen bigger goalie interferences go uncalled, so I don't think anyone would be suprised this one was too. That said, it's a hard rule to enforce, simply because it's completely down to the refs discretion to call interference or not. What they need is a new "skate in the crease rule", allowing Toronto to review a goal where a player had his skate in the crease, to determine whether or not there may have been any interfering with the goaltender. Nothing like the original ridiculous one, where a goal would be disallowed if a player was decked in front of the net, and once skate grazed the blue paint as he was falling down. As things are right now, you basically need to tackle the goalie into his own net, for a goalie interference penalty to be called.
  22. Who is this Leino, you speak of?
  23. I always knew there was a scoring area. Just didn't know both teams had one...
  24. I'm thinking maybe the Rangers should try and let the Kings go up by two next game, cause being up by two sure isn't working for them. Like watching the Sabres with a 2-0 lead.
