  1. I'm in Eerie right now, a friend has a major event tomorrow morning and I want to be there. I never have bet sports before, but I put $5 on the Sabs at the weird casino next to my hotel. (I do mean weird, as in wow, if @PASabreFan thinks antique bars in Erie violate the ADA, he should see this stuff!). I'm tempted to get it laminated (as my first ever sports bet) and use it as a bookmark, rather than cash in the $7.40 against the $5 I paid. (Because they will win.) Thoughts?
  2. It's a yearly tradition. Welcome!
  3. Try this: Go to https://bracketchallenge.nhl.com , click "join league," search for "sabrespace 2003" and it should come up. Could one of @spndnchz @nfreeman or @SDS please pin this until the first playoff game?
  4. Sorry--I use desktop. Let me see if there's another way...
  5. Not anymore. Hint: If you kill (or at least severely maim) the first couple of Leaf fans, the rest of them fall into line *very* quickly.
  6. I'm not sure that the bracket itself is up yet, but the "league" is: https://bracketchallenge.nhl.com/en/league/27175 Password: MILLER30
  7. Has Adams spoken about him or is your last sentence just an assumption? Because I think Adams should, if not would, consider offers for him. (And again, this is probably best left to another thread--I don't want to screw up a winning GDT. You can last word it if you want and we'll find a way to discuss another time.)
  8. It was! But in Ted Lasso land.
  9. I agree on Olofsson--more likely. I think Adams would be wise to see what he can get for Mittlestadt. He can't afford to lock him up long term with other contracts on the horizon, and he has the pipeline to replace him. But perhaps that's a better discussion for the off-season thread.
  10. No one is crying and no one has been a bigger critic of Mittlestadt than I have been. I'm happy that he scored that goal to bring it home for Anderson and the fans at the game, and I'm happy that he and Olofsson increased their trade values tonight.
  11. A very nice tribute to Anderson at the end there. It didn't seem staged, but spontaneous.
  12. OK. 266 posts and all 327 of them are in this thread...please stop spamming.
  13. Except that goal celebration the other night. That's not a move one makes with bruised or broken ribs.
  14. By definition, there is no such thing. (Yeah, I'm being that guy today because I have a flat and I'm angry.)
  15. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
  16. Gentlemen's bet on an over/under for Graves at 5.5?
  17. Ah ok now it makes sense, and I agree.
  18. I LOVE the idea of Graves. But I don't think he can fit in with the team's cap plans. He's 27 and about to hit his "cash-in" summer, currently making 3.2M against the cap. He's going to command a healthy raise over that--maybe even double. The Sabres have that, right? Well, yes, but. Dahlin comes up next, and then Power, and their agents will negotiate in part based upon what their teammates make. "If Graves is making $6.2M, shouldn't Dahlin get 14? Shouldn't Power get 8?" is what I hear in my head, and it's scary. If anyone knows where to get 2 or 3 more Samuelssons, please let Adams know.
  19. I'm not sure I see the connections among a UFA D, Olofsson, and a 2025 first round pick. It's your turn again this year already? I thought it was someone else. (I am kidding. From your keyboard to God's eyes. And if they follow my master plan, you could well be right!)
  20. That sounds like another Comrie, though. If they're going to do something (and they should), I'd prefer that they do Something.
  21. I was just kidding w/ CB but maybe you're referring to something else.
