The Arizona Coyotes Arena Referendum fails to pass
Eleven replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
There's also this: I don't think anyone knows anything. -
The bottom countries have to play to avoid relegation. There are different teams at the bottom every year (same goes for Olympics).

They did have Toronto with them for a while. -

Their fans hated it, just like Toronto fans did when they were in the western conference. So would I if half of the Sabres' games were in other time zones. I do wonder about some of these western cities that are being proposed, though. No doubt the Coyotes had a very loyal following, but it is a SMALL very loyal following, similar to what @\GoBillsInDallas/ wrote in the Round 3 thread about DFW. It's just going to be the same problem in Houston, KC, or Salt Lake. Portland might make some sense, but really Quebec City is where it's at. Maybe we have to deal with unbalanced conferences; it's not the worst thing in the world. -
US won handily; Canada against Kazakhstan shortly.

Washington but the last straw for me was when they got rid of the shift. I haven't watched a baseball game this year and probably won't.

NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Yeah, the fare has been and is bad, and it has been bad since the Sabres opened up shop under the elder Jacobs's eye. That's a LONG time ago. I've complained about it in this space, and so have you. This might be the punch in the face that the family needs (again, DN's fare in other markets really is better). And if not, well, sorry. There's really not an entitlement to generational wealth.

Have you really never watched the 1985 version of Brewster's Millions?

https://buffalonews.com/news/local/legends-wins-bills-stadium-food-and-beverage-contract/article_47efad64-f450-11ed-b124-ab618ae018f0.html#tracking-source=home-top-story Finally. Finally, Jacobs doesn't get to serve substandard fare, under whatever brand name, at at least one WNY venue. The chokehold he has had on this community--crappy food at the stadium, crappy food at the arena, I think he still has the airport, is over. Other cities with Jacobs-based concessions are actually ok. Not great, but ok. He's abused us locally. And I'm glad he's out of Orchard Park. The arena should be next.

I used to call it Rangeritis but it is absolutely a disease rooted in Toronto now.

No one stepped up, but the spirit of @deluca67 moved me to create this thread for you. I won't watch much of it. There is no team I like in it: 1. Carolina. This team started the ZIP code restrictions for ticket purchases, in 2006. Their fans were *nasty* in 2006 when the only reason the team (which is separate from fans, yes) won was because of injuries. They accused @Drunkard or someone of eating babies. No, I cannot root for them. 2. Dallas, should be obvious, and Hull still won't admit it. 3. Florida. This is all about the no one wins before the Sabres win thing. 4. Vegas. Same. For a lot of Sabres fans, it's about Eichel, and I'm not going to rain on that parade. Rather, for me, it's more about #3, and about the cap circumvention.

RIght now it certainly is.

Rosen looks like he should be bluer and courting Smurfette.
-
They're not going to fire the coach yet--he's only been there for a little over a year and he's the guy who did get them to the conference final. They definitely should be looking for a goalie.
-
Same here & I agree w/ the posters who recognize that Eichel's defensive development began here.

This is a heck of a series. I don’t want it to end. But I cannot stay up much longer so I hope they at least give me a game 7.

The league was not forced to sign a contract allowing preemption by May baseball and cornhole tournaments but it did. What about the Canadian broadcasters, too? And I hardly am the only one placing blame where it is due: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhls-decisions-leave-fans-scratching-their-heads/

Ed Kilgore's Vault: Fun Times With Pat Hannigan
Eleven replied to PASabreFan's topic in The Aud Club
Well, eventually he did ride--or drive--into the sunset. He was my Uber driver a few years ago. Retired, just doing it to keep busy, etc. Really nice guy, too. -
I watched a game on TNT last night. Tuesday's game, if necessary, is on TNT. So no. It's just more minor league nonsense from the NHL.
