I just don't know what to say about Myers. He's terrible at playing the body and he can't even use his reach to properly play the puck. You have to ask, at this point, what he adds to the team.

The Habs have bounced back to a 4-2-0 start after shaking off the lockout ennui with an opening day home loss to the Leafs. Defenseman Andrei Markov is off to a hot start, with 8 points in his last 5 games, including 4 goals. Carey Price is holding the fort well, surrendering fewer than 2.00 goals per 60 minutes to complement a 4-1-0 record. Will Vanek continue his scorching start? More importantly, could the Sabres survive if his line has an off day?

By the way, yesterday was a perfect showcase of how Vanek is (perhaps) the NHL's most versatile scorer. How many other guys can nail that slap shot, put that tip exactly where he wants it, and then completely undress the goaltender with that type of trickery on a break? He's been streaky throughout his career, but TV can use that hockey stick in ways that most players can only dream of. EDIT: Oh, and the two perfect passes to give teammates yawning nets to score. Not every assist is created equal and those two goals were more Vanek than Ennis or Hodgson.
