How in the hell do we know the conversation he had with Nashville? We don't. We have one side saying they never said they were signing with Nashville vs poile trying to save face saying they did. All true BUT Lamoriella has been stingy with bonus money in the past, and the tax rates are much higher in CAD than NY. I don't think any CAD team will be on his short list. My guess: BUF, BOS, CHI, PIT and wildcard NJ

Outside of Buf and bos nobody is talking about him. I'd say our biggest competition outside of Boston is Pittsburgh and Chicago. He's a homebody, so you can eliminate all teams out west and I think you can eliminate the Canadian teams. From a roster talent perspective I think you can eliminate nyr, nj and Boston. Don't think he wants a big city, so eliminate NYI too. That should put Buf as the frontrunners - it's a 55 min flight from bos to buf. Can't eliminate Boston and his hometown ties, but if he's really playing for his 2nd contract, why would one go to Boston - that's a team heading in the wrong direction

Stafford was a bit of a whipping boy here but was a good player. Vesey is similar offensively, a bit tougher and could be playing with a better center than Stafford ever played with.

I think he'd play on Eichel's line and have something like 25 goals, 25 assists, year one; with Eichel and Reinhart closer to 70 points. I've watched a ton of Harvard and USA film on him and he's the real thing. If he was 18 and in the draft this year (I know he's not), he would have went top 5

Eichel skipped a game earlier in the year. The plane is definitely dropping someone off (Eichel maybe) or picking someone up, due to the quick turnaround.
