@Thorny He should have said, “sorry Terry I didn’t quite hear what you said just now, I’ve got a Stanley cup ring blocking my ear”
You just want a new GM.

Lindy Ruff is the guy who made this happen. Our team full of Nordic kids are in for trouble
How many of those did he sell. I'd love to know.

It sounded to me like Lindy implied that Adams was in contact with him not long after Lindy was fired, caught the potential error and corrected it by adding something like "and after losing their (the Sabres') head coach...".
I caught that too.

Thanks - I just signed up to stream the AHL playoff games and was able to watch the final 2 regular season games so that was the first time I noticed Stevens not doing the broadcasts.
He did a game recently with Duffer, and Don was struggling to describe the action, like he couldn't see it.

Or it means the owner is being cheap and Lindy was the only coach willing to only take a 2 year deal.
Or Appert will join as Lindy's assistant and future HC. Ruff retires or joins FO.

This is so on point it hurts.

Not bad for a yes man.

Seth Appert, much like every coach in the history of coaches, is good because he’s had good players. The Amerks have a better roster this year than the decade of 2010-2020 combined.
Is this a backhanded compliment of Kevyn Adams?

That woman's earring behind him looks like Ruffs earring
Lol
And the hair. Looks like Lindy has a mullet.

To whom? If this truly was the case, Berube and Gallant's agents would have contacted the club regarding the coaching vacancy. Apparently that hasn't happened. I can't see Lindy getting the job over either of those 2 if they made themselves available to the Sabres organization. I'm good with the Lindy hiring but I do feel we, as Sabres fans, over value the players in the organization. Let's see what Lindy can do with them or we see who stays and who gets shipped out for next season. I'm not completely 100% sold on the players in the organization. Some will bloom, others will fail.
Apparently your guessing. It's been raised and I think likely that Ruff was the guy even before Adams presser.

Spin it? You're the only one here doing that. Hell, the poll doesn't even measure what you're claiming and a whopping 72% voted for someone else. That's not spin kid, those are called facts.
So according to you the most popular choice for Sabres head coach is "anybody but Lindy." 😂

Man, thinking 27.83% is "most" is just bad math. That means 72.17% thought someone else would be coach.
He got the most votes. Spin it at way you want. He was the most popular choice amongst the SabreSpace crowd.
One thing you can say about Lindy. He likes it here. His wife wasn't going to put the kibosh on the move because there's no Gucci stores in WNY.

No this is what the owner wants cuz because he's a nostalgia fruit. That and it's a pr move to sell season tickets.
Now that Ruff is hired you're denying fans wanted him? Nice.
My question now is what happens to Seth Appert. Will her be brought up to assist Lindy, or do we lose him to another team?

I'll take it further: If Lindy fails, the franchise will implode. Complete teardown to the studs, new electricity, new plumbing. Endless tanks, cats and dogs living together.... ugh.
Blame the owner for giving the fans what they wanted.

We have to keep in mind that the pickings were likely slim given the failure of the organization since, well, since they fired Lindy. As I stated in another thread, I bet Pegula thought that was a mistake. Now Lindy can redeem himself.
Not tingles-down-my-legs excited but I really don't mind it either. Lindy isn't hard to root for.
This isn't true. The Sabres roster made it a very attractive job. Of course we'll never know how attractive now, will we.

They couldn't have. Warning: don't listen to the latest Maintenance Day podcast where they discuss Lindy.

I cannot thank you enough for sharing. That red Amerks jersey is sitting in my car to send out. I’m just about as lazy as can be. My bad.
Wish I could attend. Maybe if they go further I'll come in.

Eh - that kind of crap tends to lead to problems with the younger kids and just a clique type atmosphere within your team.
No it doesn't.

Four days between games two and three and six days between games four and five. Weird gapping. Are the venues hosting other events that prevents one day between every game?
Typical AHL scheduling. They want to keep games on weekends to maximize attendance.
