    And there are people patting said “news breakers” on the back.  I really dislike what the world has become. 

    You have to be way of anything that big being reported by someone you never heard of.

    This is literally the headline:

    Reports that Terry Pegula has sold the Buffalo Sabres

    Is the curse finally lifted?!

    This is dead on?

    Yes. He nailed it. Except for the teams being sold and what percentage was being sold. But it did contain the words "Pegula" and "sell" so close enough.

    I didn’t understand why people were so quick to poo poo it when I thought it was a very real possibility. I know someone mentioned the new scoreboard and roof as proof why he wasn’t selling. When I heard the rumor I immediately thought that may been a condition of the deal. 

     

    this is going to be a very interesting summer 

    Except for the teams involved, the story was dead on!!!!

    Pittsburgh sold for 900 million, and a good chunk of that was the real estate around the new and old rinks. Fenway group was going to walk away without that included. 

    Forbes latest valuation is $750MM for the Sabres. But the team is still at or near the bottom of all NHL team values. Same with the Bills in the NFL

    The Sabres value increased 5X since Terry bought them.

    The PSL story is not over and may have long lasting bad consequences.  The stadium is state funded.  The Bills are not any more regional than the Sabres - the games in Toronto proved that, Toronto football fans overwhelmingly cheered for the Bills opponents.  

    Kim Pegula proved several times over that she does not understand the fan base or sports management in general.  

    The stadium is only about 50% state funded. Besides, it looks like the story is BS.
