The Pegula Empire continues to grow...
Hockey heaven

I doubt it. My guess is if you snooze you lose. My take is the Sabres want to sell as many season tickets as possible this year so they don't take a hit if it's another crap season. Of course you want to buy when they get good. Who doesn't? But that doesn't fill the building now.

The biggest negative there will be less stuff to complain about, but we'll find stuff.

I don't think it would eliminate him, it would just cost them a huge penalty for breaking the lease. I forgot the actual sum, but I think it's $400 million
There is no "get-out-of-Buffalo" fee. The lease is the lease. Even the NFL signed off on it. The $400MM fee comes in only if a court rules that the lease can be broken. And the court would be in Erie County. Good luck.

My favorite cheap eat in the Lower East Side is Yonnah Schimmel Knish Bakery on Houston. They run about $3.50 a piece and come in a variety of flavors and fillings. An absolute hold in the wall place just a few blocks from Katz's. They even have Dr. Brown's sodas.

Blue reports that Pegula sat with GM TM at the 3 on 3 tourney. PA arched-eyebrowingly takes note.
Over under on the # of times before the 2015 draft wherein PA will cite this as a piece of meddling proof: 11.
More evidence: Terry's signature on player's checks. Now the guy is literaly signing off on who plays for the Sabres!

I predict all of your posts will be purely bitching about someone else here.
BOOM!
Batting .850
Dude.... #BLUEPRINT???!!!!
Oh that hurts....not.
I guess being exposed to endless negatively and absurd conspiracy theories has numbed you to this morass.

I don't get some of you guys , all the things i read of Grigs was that he did very much ok during scrimage, but still people on here saying he sucks donkey balls.
Not saying he did NHL ready ok, but all i read was he was on top 5 of performing prospects, and that does get my hopes up.
Rooting for failure makes you look smarter. Take 10 prospects and predict all 10 will fail. 6 might. So you are batting .600.

Nice save on Risto by Johannen.
-
Nice speed by Baptiste. Made Florentino look bad.
Weak goaltending on that one.
Weak? His own D man kicked it in.

I'm having fun watching Pecararo.
He's been all over the ice.
Did Mama get her boy on the team?

2-0 White

10K in house.

White seems to be the more name team.
-
Leduc from Z. 1-0 white.
-
Dunlevy and Ray on PBP. Having trouble identifying players.
-
Well I guess better give some highlights. Not much yet. Chances both ways. Zadorov just took a penalty.

Any chance you can give us a clubs as to what device or browser you are using?
Desktop with Chrome browser. Clicked window on Sabres.com to start it.

Had it on since 6:55. Watching now.

I think Darcy was just really bad at drafting.
Darcy...bad...Fire..bad....Murray...good.
-
I think Murray has shown he is not solely focused on size, just that he sees it a a necessary ingredient that the organization lacked.
Had Draisaitl been the pick over Reinhart, I may have been concerned about an over emphasis, but he wasn't and I'm not.
Darcy thought you could win without size. Tim disagrees and will likely continue to add size whenever there is an opportunity.
But I think overall, you will find ZFG over individual traits or lack thereof as long as a player can play.
Fashion changes and so does what wins in the NHL. Darcy built a team around speed and finesse out of the lockout in '05 (I think) and was the toast of the NHL. So Murray is going with size and strength but we are coming to the party a bit late. We're good until someone builds a team of gazelles and wins a cup.

Here's the scoreboard if you want to follow along. Spoke to Ty for a few minutes after his round. Here's the thumbnail: 1) He's a development coach for goalies with the Blues (Jim Corsi got him the gig.) 2) He doesn't stay in touch with the Sabres Alumni but he does talk to Ryan Miller. 3) Made a snide comment about the NHL "getting what they wanted" in the first Winter Classic. (Snow, Crosby scoring, shootout, etc.) 4) He doesn't play hockey at all anymore, not even for fun. Pads are put away for good. 5) Lives in NH now and plays a lot of golf.

I was woken up this morning with a last second assignment cover a pro-am golf tournament today. One player is former NHL and Sabres goalie Ty Conklin. I'll be writing a feature on him about what he's doing since retirement. Anyone have any questions to suggest I ask?
