Of course people would complain about schools like Troy State and Central Michigan in a national championship tournament but I say too bad. I don't understand how a team that couldn't win it's own conference should be allowed to compete for a national championship. Besides, you never know when you get an upset, and that's half the fun.

Why not? They let in every two-bit basketball conference winner into the Big Dance. Make it a championship that is earned. Not a beauty contest. You want to be champion? Win your conference.

Couple of nits to pick in the Sports Science video. 1) The Sumo goalie was parked at the goal line. Any normal goalie comes out to cut down the angle. 2) His glove position was totally wrong, resting them on his knees. He should have his gloves out and up to take up more space. He missed another 5-6% coverage because of his gloves in the wrong place. 3) Fuggedabout that 5-hole.

Quick question. If goaltenders are completely responsible for the goals they let in (as you seem to believe) why do hockey teams have defensemen? To play defense, maybe?
