The way the AHL schedule lays out, few midweek games, lots on weekends, that Levi can play both. Comrie is now exempt from waivers because he cleared once before. There's no need to make Levi a permanent Amerk.

Kind of wondering what to do with myself with the Sabres shut down for a week plus. Don't care about the All Star game at all. At least the AHL keeps going. What happens if Kulich gets called up? Does he miss the AHL All-star game on Feb 6?

I'm going to guess yes. Much worse.

I need to convert this to a season long pace. Sabres are .490 right now, which gets them to just 80 points. .585 gets 96 .573 gets 94 .561 gets 92 .549 gets 90.

.727 pt% gets you to 96. .700 gets you 94, .667. = 92, and .636 gets 90. Anything less is futile.

At the All Star break the Sabres have 48 points and are 7 points out of a wild card. They just went 7-4 in January. (.636) If they maintain that point% over the remaining 33 games, they get 90 points. Not enough but within striking distance.

Let's hope it's just a sprain.

The Sabres aren't starting slow, they are making games more interesting.

If I'm the NHL, I make a team play their backup if a goalie has an equivalent problem. Why hold up the game?

And the one goal the Amerks scored was disallowed because they said Warren kicked it in. But he didn't kick it. His foot hit the puck after a Comet cross checked him. I swear neither NHL or AHL refs know what constitutes a kicking motion. 🤷‍♂️
