Fundamentally, until we build up our scouting system and front office to be passable, we just have more of these wtf transactions to look forward to. As happy as I was for the Risto trade value, the Rhino return feels ten times worse. And when you're as bad as the Sabres with their skeleton scouting crew, I think you at least follow some semblance of consensus ratings for the middle rounds. I feel like I need to do like that recently returned Bills fan and check back in 10 years.

Can I just say that this type of discussion is why I love this board and not the cesspool the political forums have turned into on TBD. Even the old political thread had some wonderful conversation that shed light on why those not of my ilk believe how they do. Thanks to all who are continuing the discussion. Mad props.

I do believe they are a good complement for each other and I agree with Ink. Let's focus on adding to the team for the moment. I'm actually just glad there's something positive to be said here.
