  1. It's been over 24 hours since this was confirmed by Cambria, and longer since the original leak/rumour manifested. If it weren't true, you can bet Eoannou would have been all over it only because it would influence a potential jury. Even the DA might interject if it weren't accurate because of the potential damage to the case it could lay. It's a big deal if this is to become a jury trial. Also, Eoannou, was definitely representing the accuser. He went before the world speaking on behalf of the accuser. From WGRZ: "From the statements Mr. Eoannou made tonight," Cambria said, "somebody attempted to use him to fabricate or obstruct and undermine the science. He obviously now has made a clear statement that, ethically, he had to withdraw. To me that means, and I think logically it means, that the integrity of the accusations has been completely undermined."
  2. I haven't gone there, but the "other males' DNA" found inside her, while Kane's was not; a lying mother; and a high-profile lawyer quitting because of, essentially, integrity issues, are not painting a pretty picture of a lily-white doe.
  3. I think it was Cambria who said it outright yesterday. I think he said two other males.
  4. That makes sense. She likely went home in scrubs, and whatever wasn't considered evidence at the time was put in an "extra" evidence bag for her to take with her.
  5. Well, let's organize the events of the past week or so: Grand Jury is delayed for unknown reasons. A leak says Kane's DNA not found in vital/critical areas of accuser - although other males' DNA was. Allegation that the evidence bag (but not the evidence) was found at accuser's mother's home. Kane's lawyer confirms above stated leak (re: DNA); accuser's lawyer does not dispute it. Accuser's lawyer holds press conference to declare he has quit the case because he is uncomfortable with information coming from the accuser's side. I can see nothing that works against Kane here.
  6. It's because the aliens are finally on their way. Finally.
  7. Didn't watch the presser, but maybe he meant to say the bag is the exact kind of bag (and tape) used by ECMC to seal rape kits, therefore making it legit, but is not commenting on whether it's THE bag used to the seal THE evidence from THIS case.
  8. WTF, it was really difficult orienting myself to this team during the first. So many newbies. Samson has grown up, but, I don't get his line. He needs finishers, and he really wasn't teamed with finishers. Nice to see a player who can make a puck hit the inside of the net from beyond the circles, but 90 and 9 did disappoint during the 3 on 3. I will defer to those at the game who thought Lehner played okay, but, that second period was brutal for him. Perhaps it's not fair to evaluate him based on the awful D for this game, but, I'd like to not use that excuse for the "new" Sabres. Can we not use the D as an excuse for the goalies going forward? I want to know how is it we don't have Matt O'Conner on our team. He was great.
  9. For my money, knowing what "Skynet" means is actually somewhat important on 2015 Earth.
  10. Yes, I believe Erie County is now primary, since it's an Erie County grand jury it was supposed to go before.
  11. This is great: The accusers lawyer is not surprised all evidence is accounted for with Erie County Central Police Services....(cont'd) ...His issue is "what happened from the time the evidence was collected, until it got to ECCPS." More Eoannou "what evidence went into this bag, what came out of it, what was done with it and was it done prior to CPS receiving it." Where are Holmes and Watson when you need them?
  12. Erie County Central Police Services, who released this bombshell this afternoon: Evidence in Kane case ‘remains in its original packaging,’ says Erie County Central Police Services
  13. So, I have this on in the background because I'm going to watch the replay later on, but Duff should stay far away from play by play after this game.
  14. You live to correct every post I make.
  15. You keep referring to the "rape kit" which is inaccurate, based on what we know. It is only the evidence bag, empty. Otherwise, I'm not paying attention to your argument above, no offense, the things we know are already intriguing enough. Just trying to help you remain accurate in whatever it is you're trying to say.
  16. For it to be a convincing forgery, it'd have to be pretty accurate. So those things you are describing need to be absolutely correct anyway.
  17. If you haven't seen Terminator, then you can't fully appreciate the references to "Skynet". Same as referencing "Big Brother" without having read 1984.
  18. What are the odds one of the bags/kits is a forgery?
  19. I like this. It's how the scenario is forming in my mind, as well. I would not be surprised that some pro-Kane person, un-related to the investigation, found the bag, somehow, and is trying to intimidate the accuser.
  20. Let's be clear, there was no evidence, just the bag for the rape kit, which was empty.
  21. This is one of the "tape delayed" games on the NHL Channel, init?
  22. I have great disdain for all of you who changed your user names to something completely unrelated to what your former user name was leading me to not know who it is I'm communicating with.
  23. Wow, you guys are really high on Larsson. I see the role y'all are slotting him into, and he's obviously not a top 6 guy, but either I missed stuff over the summer, or you folks are reading a lot into the final few weeks of last season. I wonder if he sees himself in the grinder role long term, or if he thinks he can be more of a skill guy. We've been down that road of trying to force a player into a role he didn't want to accept.
