  1. Yeah, I watched. Best I’ve ever seen him play.
  2. Eric Comrie: AHL All-Star goalie. 😂
  3. Agree entirely except to say the Bills have been in playoff mode since they sat at 5-5 after the Denver loss and everybody and their mothers wrote them off as done for the year. The Miami game is their 7th playoff game since, imo.
  4. There’s a chance Clifton may get out of my doghouse yet. Maybe.
  5. C’mon, let’s get the extra point to make it secen.
  6. He showed well in his brief re-hab stint with the Amerks earlier this season, so there’s that.
  7. The sequence that started the Östlund breakaway goal was funny as he fell while pursuing the puck along the half wall in his offensive end, slid into the boards, and watched as the Czechs took off in the other direction. In getting back into the play, Östlund only got as far as center ice before the Swedes regained control in their own end and #9 hit him with that beautiful stretch pass to send him in on the breakaway. That play doesn’t happen if Östlund hadn’t tripped and was delayed getting back into the play.
  8. He’s got 24 points in the 11 games he’s played with Wanatchee, so that might be an indication how he’s doing without Benson so far.
  9. “Eschew you, pal.”
  10. And may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their armpits.
  11. Always nice to see Vegas get thumped.
  12. Sucks for Savoie. Kid can’t seem to stay healthy.
  13. Given the disaster we are currently, how would we be able to tell?
  14. I agree entirely that they have the cap space, assets, and the actual desire to swing a deal or two. And we’d all like to see them get some guys in who can help turn it around. What they don’t have is control over trade scenarios involving players who may refuse to come here. My only point is that it is a limiting factor for GMs in the league. Both in terms of players they want to bring in and/or players they want to move.
  15. I didn’t say nobody wants to come, but since an average of six players on every team has some kind of no trade restriction in their contract, the odds are that a targeted player will have that clause. The better question is, of the 206 players around the league with a NTC, how many of them don’t have Buffalo on their list? Would you wanna play for Buffalo if you had a choice?
  16. This will be the start of an epic run and Seth Appert will Wally Pipp Donnie G.
  17. Not a cop out, not an excuse; just a very real limiting factor in potential trades. Entering this season, 203 players had trade-limiting clauses in their contracts, an average of six per team. And I’d bet that most of those players are the better players on their teams. So while not every player has such a clause, it’s fair to say the ones worth targeting, the ones that could potentially help a team the most, would need to waive that clause and approve the trade. Agree entirely that the GM needs to make the team attractive to players around the league. Ironically, being able to acquire good players in trades would help that process.
  18. How many possibilities are there for a GM when the players targeted to acquire in a trade all have Buffalo listed in their NTC?
  19. LMAO! Coffee all over the keyboard, but the belly laugh was worth it.
