My post was totally tongue in cheek. Nothing serious about it. -
We need to talk about Zach Benson making the team this year, 2023

When I think about @LGR4GMās point about how Benson would still play his game whether heās skating with the top line or a bottom group, I think the concerns about his strength and physical maturity are misplaced. Granato seems to echo that idea as well. Benson imposes his game on the opponent, regardless. Given what weāve seen so far, heās been playing like one of our top 12 forwards. The big question for me is where is his development as a hockey player best served? It certainly isnāt at the junior level any longer imo, and the AHL is off limits. -

They should play UPL again. Itās one thing to give up goals to a lineup of scrubs, but quite another when itās future HOFers getting pucks past you. Allowing five or six goals to the likes of Crosby, Malkin, and Karlsson would be a real confidence builder for Oopie. -

Yep. VOās atrocious D play and weakness along the boards is on video for the entire league to see. -
News broke last spring or so that he was being treated for prostate cancer, but he said the treatment was successful and that he is in remission. But his speech is just not there like before. He sounds much like someone undergoing speech therapy after a stroke. I hope heās gonna be ok, regardless.

Thatās another way of putting it for sure.

Thatās gonna be tough as he gets rid of the ball in under 2.5 seconds on most plays. That said, if we can get them to play behind the sticks on occasion and force them to need longer developing routes to convert third downs, we should have opportunities to knock him on his ass.

Bernard has made a liar out of me. Never been happier to be wrong. I can see why Kirksey, who I thought would be starting after week one, decided to retire. After seeing the All 22, Bernard actually had a decent game vs. the Jets and then followed up with two excellent games. Gonna need his A game next week though as Tua and the Phish are for real to say the least.

Shootout attempts are akin to penalty shots, which do occur during games. And penalty shots really donāt resemble breakaways all that much, either.

82-0 I can see, but letās be realistic about the 82 shutouts.

We owe General Milley a huge debt of gratitude. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2023/11/general-mark-milley-trump-coup/675375/ Further evidence of the kind of pig Trump is. To think that scum is the leading GOP candidate is mind boggling.

Would rather see the word ālastā instead of ā5thā in Brysonās box.

Passes the smell test? Since when are human mental attitudes like optimism or pessimism subject to arbitrary judgment criteria? And who establishes what the criteria is? You? Why? Because someoneās optimism simply rubs your pessimism the wrong way or vise versa? I think the Sabres will go 82-0 in the regular season and 16-0 in the playoffs to win their first cup. Gotta problem with that?
