Ref can always blow the whistle if a player is seriously injured. We see it all the time.
He wasn’t seriously injured.

Greenway needs to keep his feet moving once he hits the blue line.

They are 6-4 in their last 10. Look it up.
And 3-1 since the trade deadline. Go 3-1 every four and they will probably make it in.

Punctuation. It’s just not that difficult.
He who shall not be named has posts where if you add commas or periods in different places you can come up with up to 5 different meanings. I stopped trying until he does.

Holy *****, I never even knew that
Would've = Would have obviously but Would of = Is akin to "wood of a tree" and while speaking aloud it makes sense doesn't read correctly. Hopefully I remember this for future posts 🙂
You are an honorable man for posting this.

Terry pronounced Stanley Cup in a way I had never heard. It made him sound like not a hockey guy.
Gotcha. Going to have to go back and listen to that.

So, yes.
Remember the old schoolyard taunt. If you can't say it you can't do it?
I still got nothin’. Sorry.
You didn’t really clear anything up for me.

John, Dude is kind of like saying “Hey man”. To some its used as a term of endearment.
JohnC talks to people like he is the only one who has ever watched hockey before. If you only read his posts, you’d think the Sabres are the 2 seed.
Also, wasn’t it reported when we drafted him that he was actually coached to not be overly aggressive because they always wanted him on the ice? He plays soft and nobody is going to convince otherwise. He is either going to need a player who doesn’t to show him how or he is going to need to be coached out of it.

I'm confident that he will in the not-too-distant future be an instrumental player for us. Don't let his more finesse style of play cloud your judgment on him. He's going to be really good. So good where a lot of organizations would make a bountiful trade to acquire him. Be patient---you will come around.
Dude. You really need to get over yourself.

I respectfully but strenuously disagree with your assessment of Power. There is no question that he is not a banger but that doesn't mean (to me) that he is a soft player. As far as "could" be traded that description can be applied to every player on the team and in the league. People have different perspectives and evaluations on players. That's OK.
I don’t know, man,… he’s pretty soft. He’s really young, though, so I still have hope.

We can disagree on what would make the best combinations on the blueline. But that discussion is made possible because in comparison to a few years ago, there is now enough accumulated talent where you can trade a player in order to add another player to better round out this roster.
Mitts was a good player who had value. He was dealt for a top pairing defender. We gave up value to acquire value. We're allowed to have this discussion because we have a supply of assets to parlay with. Not long ago, that wasn't the case because of a dearth of talent. Injuries would result in a cascading effect where players would then be playing higher roles that they were capable of handling. Injuries can now be handled without having such damaging effects.
Not to belabor the point, but I'm confident that Power is going to be a stud player for us. In the near future, he's going to viewed as a top-tier defenseman in the league. He's not a banger, and never will be. Don't let it cloud the fact that is going to be really good.
Is BB-4 a top pairing defenseman? I mean, on a team that actually makes the playoffs?

I mean why stop at playoffs? If the Sabres have a real shot at making the playoffs despite the gauntlet Brawndo lays out, why not say the Sabres are legitimate Cup contenders RIGHT NOW? Why would they cool off after winning 52 of 55 games or whatever plausible scenarios some are proposing? In fact it should be easier to win the Cup than make the playoffs. You can go 16-12 and do that.

On the NHL Network Boyle did a thing in the Sabres.
Talked about the Byram pickup and how important it was.
Talked about UPL really coming into his own.
Said he is close with Thompson and that Tage has had a hand/wrist issue all year that has effected his shooting and stick handling.
Has it effected his decision-making as well, cuz his sucks. He wouldn't have to use his wrist as much if he just used his line mates.

Well, that was awful.

Dude. Sorry to hear this.
There is a huge shake up where I work. Lots of layoffs (some deserved, but still sucks).
I’’m safe, but lucky me, it’s all happening at the same time that my brain decided to be a dick and try to kill me again. You just can’t imagine how hard it is to pretend to give a ***** about the extra workload and new schedules, while trying to figure a treatment plan and surgery schedule. Like it or not, soon I’m going to be out 4 to 6 weeks, and I won’t be thinking about you. The upside is I told my buddy that I’ll be showing up at his house with a zipper on my head right around the time the lakers start to head into the lower Niagara.
