  1. I think Vanek would. Pommer from last year maybe. This years would be second line.
  2. Someone's gotta look good doing it (or do it for that matter).
  3. Someone's gotta represent the lollipop guild. He even does the little kick on the way to the box.
  4. They really like to pad the other teams stats on blocked shots by only taking shots from the blueline.
  5. I can guess. Line 1 - Vanek - Hodgson - Pommers Line 2 - line that will get hemmed in their own end, dump the puck and change Line 3 - line that will get hemmed in their own end, dump the puck and change Line 4 - line that will get hemmed in their own end, dump the puck, start a fight and change
  6. I know they were drafted earlier but you missed my point of who Grigs is playing with. He has 1 goal and 2 assists with the bottom 6 of the team, not the top. Huberdeau started with a 3 point game then nothing for 5 games. I don't know how he looked on the ice but other than that one game he didn't really look like he should have been on the top 6 on paper. Yakupov has points here and there but again (no multi-point games), nothing really to write home about other than the fact he has 10 points as a rookie. My point was more along the lines of ink sticking him with better players to see if he can thrive off of them. Does he deserve the ice time with the top 6, probably not, but his development isn't going to be help by being on a checking / role playing line.
  7. After reading the Buffalo News article about how he is working at his own pace right now and comparing him to other first rounders is really not telling the right story. They talk about Jonathan Huberdeau and Nail Yakupov and how they are doing much better than Grigo. The thing they fail to mention is how Huberdeau is on the first line with Weiss and Mueller and Yakupov is with Sam Gagner and Ales Hemsky. Meanwhile, we put him on a line with Scott, Kaleta, Foligno, etc. Players that are really role players on the team. I'm not saying put him on the top line but beyond the top line the talent level is a severe drop compared to other teams second line. I don't have any doubts he can develop into a good player but you only play as good as the line your on at his age. If everyone else on his line is focused on hitting people and throwing the puck all over the place, he's already the best player on that line when it comes to offensive abilities.
  8. Might actually be entertaining hockey at least.
  9. Which players should be moved obviously.
  10. They should just dress him as the 7th D but put him on the 4th line. He has a better shot and puck handling skills than anyone currently on that line.
  11. If it was a good movie I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Sully doesn't care if they are good or bad. It's always pretty much the same story.
  12. I would have loved Ott to ask how writing the same column about the team and just moving paragraphs around for the past 6 years is any different.
  13. Every player is dangerous. I mean they have knives on their feet. How could you not be dangerous.
  14. I really hope he doesn't pull miller and then tells the media they need to learn to win 5 on 5.
