  1. I like this idea. I am absolutely not married to the idea of Levi becoming a franchise goalie. Demko has a lot of skill and IF he can stay healthy, can be a steal for Buffalo. And he is only signed for 1 more year
  2. So how are we all feeling about the possibility of landing a player like Marco Rossi? Is this a player that we SHOULD covet or pass on? Could we see a RFA for RFA deal brewing (BB for MR) and some other pieces mixed in?
  3. Personally, if the right GM was brought into this organization RIGHT NOW, Tage, Dahlin and probably Tuch aside, I would not be afraid to trade anyone on this roster. We have the flexibility and pieces that a sharp GM would SALIVATE over to take this team to the next level. And any good GM that comes here knows, they can't go anywhere but up. But Pegula has some strange fascination with Adams, so it won't get any better.
  4. Agree. Think about it in these terms: About 8100+ players have played at least one NHL game since 1917. The fact that he got that cup of coffee in the NHL puts Rousek in elite company when you really think it through.
  5. Florida, Tampa Bay, Vegas, Dallas are all in the front of the line for obviou$ rea$on$ After that, let's see if Buffalo has a shot at Marner.
  6. Terry's insane loyality to Adams is setting this franchise back horribly.
  7. The Sabres don't even need to look at the NHL for who is their competition. A Lacrosse league in their own CITY is running laps around this NHL organization. If that does not sound off the alarms nothing will.
  8. Players like Marner rarely hit UFA. This feels like when Panarian was a UFA and the Rangers overpaid for him. Say what you want about the Bread Man in the playoffs, but he did help the Rangers quite a bit. Marner is the injection this franchise, and fan base, needs. 14M AAV? Done.
  9. Dallas vs Florida SC Final. Might as well wrap the Stanley Cup in a 1040 tax return form for a better more accurate effect on today's NHL.
  10. 2 of 4 Conference Finalists from Tax Haven Markets. What a $hock
  11. Exactly, and this is why this Byrum decision IMO is so crucial. Dahlin and Power are already getting top $, do the Sabres really want to have a 3rd that offers a skill set that might just be a little too much overkill for this defense group? Should the Sabres move BB for the right defenseman that has some term and some experience that can help Power especially? Or Trade Power? Buyout Samuelsson? Such a huge off season IMO on how this franchise will look the rest of the decade.
  12. Its both that need to be used: Watching the game and seeing that the goaltending and some of the defense suck is still very valuable but i also like the charts as sometimes they tell other stories about this team: The defense isnt as good as it seems, or as bad as it seems. Analytics and eye test should and can exist.
  13. Fair point, thinking for me is pairing that pick with something else to get the piece or pieces we need (EX: Byrum, Power, etc)
  14. I compare Kevyn Adams to the Bills GM Doug Whaley. Whaley actually made some solid moves (mixed bag) and the Bills were not a complete embarrassment on the field. But ultimately he was judged for the EJ pick and Watkins trade up and not getting into the playoffs. Adams should have had the same fate for his lack of action and not making the playoffs, and we would be talking about someone like Ken Holland as our new GM now.
  15. Curtis Lazar, Director Of Trade Deadline Deals
  16. Agree, but this happens when you have Jeff Skinner dead cap money, plus almost 14M tied up in Mattias, Zucker and Greenway combined.
  17. Will be 7X8 with the cap explosion pending
  18. Its so bad that it makes it a masterpiece
  19. Petteson dream is over. Marner? Only on NHL 2025 on PS5. Adams sealed it on Saturday, expect more of the same and a small signing
  20. Interesting thought on Marchand and that type of player. and Benson IMO was too young to start in Buffalo, here are Marchand's first two years, more productive and notice one difference:
  21. Do you all think its more related to where Benson is playing? 14 minutes a night, not a lot of top 6 time. Do we all envision Benson as an absolute Top 6 guy? Is he part of a package to get that true Top 6 winger? I do agree though about the lack of progression in points, was hoping for more but he is still very young
  22. Just looking at the Eastern Conference: Tier 1 Almost Virtual Locks: 1. Florida: Loaded roster and low tax. Enough said. 2. Tampa Bay: Loaded roster and low tax. Enough said. 3. Toronto: Marner leaving? Even if, excellent roster and enough to make playoffs. 4. Washington: Thought their demise was coming but made incredible moves this past year. 5. Carolina: IMO still a bit of a paper tiger, they remind me of the Buffalo Bills defense in the biggest playoff games: Media and analytic darlings and will win a LOT of games, but fail in the biggest moments (lets hope Beane fixes this next week!) Tier 2: Most Likely Locks 6 New Jersey: Hughes back, still excellent Top 6, Luke Hughes takes next step. 7. Ottawa: Tkachuk/Stuetzle and Jake Sanderson will take another step. Should be a 90+ point team again. Tier 3: Moderate/Low Locks: 8. Montreal: This team can get SCARY with a goalie upgrade in the near future. The Red Wings have now missed the playoffs what 9 years in a row (this blows my mind!) And they have a lot of cap space and will be aggressive. Columbus is ready to bust out. Adam Fantilli is on the verge of stardom. NY Rangers: Vet team, still have Igor, can they bounce back? Where is there a spot for Buffalo? This will be very tough. Can it be done? Sure. Likely? No
  23. If you need to bring in hot dog size to a conversation, maybe its time to get the ruler out for yourself instead
  24. Better hear a lot about unacceptable results tomorrow. I want NO pats on the back for 'well besides the 13 game winless streak we were solid' NO. NONE of that. I want strong, stern comments focused on WINNING and doing WHATEVER it takes to make the playoffs in 2026.
  25. I only do in situations like tonight, last game and zero to gain from it. Overall I do agree with what you are saying.
