  1. I think this is a fair point.
  2. You can get rid of some of it by waiving him. And I'll complain as much as I want because it's the kind of thing that is going to be a problem when we have to pay McCabe, Dahlin, Montour, Reinhart, Olofsson, Mittelstadt and Ullmark all before Okposo is off this team. I guess we just have to hope he retires or something.
  3. If we're going pure TOI then sure, the 4th line is technically Casey's line.
  4. He basically just spun the puck out into the slot from behind the net and it went right to Armia for an easy goal. He needed to be stronger on the puck and get it hard around the boards or at least tie it up. Instead he made a soft play with it. This whole team has a habit of doing stuff like that though. They think they're playing well so they start getting cute with the puck and then all of a sudden they're getting caved in.
  5. Only if they think they can showcase him for a trade somehow.
  6. Yup. It's what I'm seeing so far. And I think it helps that McCabe just seems to be a good hockey player to pair with him. I don't know if I like Risto with anyone else on his left.
  7. It's all well and good until all that wasted cap space gets in the way of us putting a better product on the ice. That's the problem. Good for Kyle that he's killing it on the 4th line, but if that's where he is then he's still hurting this team big-picture wise.
  8. The love for Okposo in this thread is a little weird. He's making $6 mil/yr to play 10 minutes a night on the 4th line: he better ***** look good. His CF rel is an insane +24 and he's getting 72% d zone starts. These are good numbers. But he's making 6 million effing dollars. Unless he can contribute further up the roster he's just a massive waste of cap space.
  9. The vaunted Rodrigues was largely irrelevant tonight.
  10. Not a fan of giving up a point to Montreal but I'll let it slide if we can get the win.
  11. Eh, I think Ullmark is better suited to a game against a team like Columbus. High shot volume but nothing that requires miracle saves. Hutton is better suited to a game like this where he might not make all the saves but he'll make some wild lucky ones.
  12. It's either that or the Timberlake
  13. Hutton really sloppy to start this period
  14. Colin Miller having his worst game as a Sabre so far
  15. This power play could score every time
