It was the subject of some debate here, years gone by. As I recall, Lindy's actions seemed to have been triggering for a former regular poster here.

    I don't have too much more to offer on this other than that I hope it works. But I keep thinking one thing: 

    This might work, or it might not. But there's one thing I'm certain of: Lindy isn't going to take too much heat from the fans over it. There won't be any Fire Lindy chants. We already did that, and we know it didn't matter. At the very least, it didn't help. 

    So if the players were well and truly looking for more accountability, they're about to get it. ALL of it. 

    And not because of who Lindy is as a coach. But because of who Lindy is to most fans, to the city. He's Teflon, he's going to get a free pass. It's okay Lindy, we didn't want this for you anyway. 

    The players though. Oh boy, the players. Get ready for hell boys.

    I'll say it again, back when this was all going down, it was reported that TP came away from those meetings looking very bad. I think it's funny that now that we might know why, some are saying it didn't even happen.

    I believe he said something stupid. It may not have been what Trotter said he said, in fact, I don't believe it was, but at this point, I wouldn't be surprised by anything.

    And I'll guarantee that we will never find out what was actually said.

    I think it's also worth mentioning, for those who are worried about Jerry's and Terry's feelings getting hurt, that the league answers to the owners, not vice versa. It's a trade association that exists to funnel revenue to the teams. And the owners are at the top. They control everything. They dictate league policy. If racial issues are being covered up, they're the ones signing off on that.

    Filing a suit against the league for how it handles discrimination and race issues is a big lift. How motivated do you think the owners, and by default the league, are going to be to get this thing resolved, if they aren't getting called out by name? If Jerry Jones isn't getting thumped in the media, this drags on quietly and forever. That doesn't give the plaintiff much leverage.

    Put them on blast? Now you have everyone's undivided attention. 

    Will it work? Who knows. But they have no reason not to pull that lever as far as I can tell. Full send.

    Thanks guys. We'll see. The death of Twitter is unfortunate. I've migrated to BlueSky and set up a Sabres feed there, I'm bullish on that platform as it continues to grow its user base.

    You know, it would save everyone a lot of back and forth if they would bother to read the suit.

    Trotter is not making any accusations against Pegula. He is accusing the league of being full of ***** about its investigation of the alleged incident, and of terminating him for pressing them on it. It is provided as one example, of many, of the league machine existing to cover up, rather than actively pursue remediation of, racist behavior. 

    Believe the stories in the suit or don't, it doesn't really matter. What is being asked is: did the league actually do any due diligence? If not, why? And was the plaintiff wrongfully terminated for trying to hold his employer accountable? 

    If the Pegula allegations were properly investigated by the league, they should have no trouble providing their documentation of it as part of this suit, and Pegula can brush the whole thing off. Maybe his press release should have said something to that effect.

JW showing up to drag a FAN for making a wrong prediction FIVE YEARS AGO is unprofessional at best. He should be held to a higher standard because its his freaking job.

    Lets all search Warrows posts and find every time he was wrong on here. Christ.

    They're still scoring enough to be a middle of the pack team. They just need the defense/goaltending to solidify and start closing the goal differential gap. 

    Barring the loss of someone like Thompson to injury they still have a chance to finish this season on respectable terms, which would be a pretty huge accomplishment.
